I had dessert catered from TPC for my wedding and it was amazing. That said, our visit this time was just okay/good. They ran out of lemon bars by the time we got there (11:30am) which was our primary reason for going. I called ahead and the staff put a quiche in the microwave for me ahead of time, which was nice. But the quiche itself was mostly egg mixture, with chunks of cheese near the top, and a few leaves on top (which was pretty but offered no taste). We took it to go, so they put it in a plastic container, which worried me a little as it seemed like it was deforming a bit from the heat. Crust was buttery and good.

I just received a box of bakery goods from The Perfect Crumb. The goodies are beyond good. They are awesome and delicious. I live in Pennsylvania now and the box was sent to me as a Christmas gift. I do believe Susan, the owner, may have used some of her grandmother’s recipes. The Perfect Crumb is just that Perfect.

Well, I was so excited to try the fresh cinnamon rolls. I arrived early in the morning, only to be told she was still frosting them and it would be a minute. When the frosted rolls came out, I was asked if I wanted them warmed. I thought they were just baked? Received our rolls, walked a few blocks to sit down and eat them, only to realize that one roll had someone’s hair inside, and the other roll was hard. Such a disappointment.

Frosty, food and service both. My 'warmed' croissant was still like eating ice chips in the center, and we were rudely told to wait outside for our order with only other small group (3 of them, 2 of us) ordering. Overall a very unpleasant experience.

Decent cappuccino (rare in Monterey). 5 stars for the ambience and costumer service. Super kind and polite. It would be great if they open a Branch on Alvarado St.

This place is everything a small bakery should be: very good coffee, delicious baked goods, and a couple of good meal items. The breakfast sandwich was second to none.

The breakfast sandwich is one of the best things I have ever ate! I add avocado and bacon. It cost around $10 and I would put that up against anything in the area that you can buy for that amount. The fresh baked cinnamon rolls on Sat are unbelievable! I eat here once to twice a week and have NEVER had a bad experience nor has my food ever came out anything but GREAT. I love this place! Its not starbucks so if you are coming here to order coffee you are missing out. Order a breakfast sandwich and a cinnamon roll and then come talk to me.

Go to Alta instead -- better drink selection and way better service. My husband and I got kicked out of the store while waiting for our order, supposedly so the people who'd just come in could order, but there wasn't anyone behind the counter to order from except the staffer working on our order. Won't be going back, ever.

Great service. Almond Croissant and Key Lime Pie are to die for!! Traditional (non-starbucks) Macchiatto was good too. Will definitely come back.

This was by far the best bakery we have ever been to!! The almond croissants are amazing!!! The cinnamon rolls and quiche are also exceptionally delicious!!! The atmosphere is quaint and clean and the staff is super accommodating and sweet! We will definitely go to this bakery again the next time we are in the Monterey area!! It is definitely worth the trip!!
