The Local Café

I've never seen an avocado toast like this one in here, very tasty.

An exceptional cafe with friendly staff, great coffee and lovely ambiance.

Best coffee near Highway 80 + Meadow Vista hands down!

Recommendations:
- Try the pastries! they are from an amazing local chef (Ettore)
- Get yourself some fresh squeeze juice!
- Take your coffee and food to go and walk to Meadow Vista park!

Recently visited this newly opened cafe in town and was excited to give it a try. Unfortunately, as somebody who has worked in cafe for a number of years this experience was immeasurably disappointing for a multitude of reasons.

First and foremost, the coffee itself was completely under the level at which I would even consider serving at a new coffee location. No fresh roasted beans or mention of a partner roaster company, and the machine they are using is certainly not something to write home about. This leads to lackluster drinks in all regards. Certainly not a place you would ever order espresso straight up and not somewhere that I would be trusting baristas to be making drinks consistently up to spec. Forget about driving off of HWY80 for this one...

Wasn't particularly impressed with the pastries they offered and the larger food options were either pre-packaged sandwiches or the "oh so original" avacodo toast...nothing exciting or noteworthy that makes me want to come back for more.

The location itself is certainly alright, but the cafe itself has no charm or atmosphere beyond places to sit and drink or eat, although it does suffice in this area I suppose. The most redeemable part of the experience was the employees, who were kind and attentive, while providing quick service. Certainly the most important aspects to get right early but I am truly shocked at how someone can open a cafe and utterly miss the mark on the one thing that is defining them, the coffee itself! Hoping they improve and seriously step up their game and will have to give them another chance sometime down the line.

Love this new coffee shop! Warm and inviting with the best coffee and pastries. The dirty chai latte was the best I have ever had. Can’t wait to come back and try other items off of the menu.

Great home made pastries and good drinks! Wish they had more size options on drinks though! But very clean and friendly, a great place to stop!

Wonderfully welcoming atmosphere and delicious food. So lucky to have this in our town!

Great place. Good for locals to walk to. Nice place to take families members from out of town. There are regular chairs and couches to sit on. Windows near most sittings areas. Food changes from breakfast to lunch around 10:30/11:00am

Delicious breakfast sandwiches & yummy lattes! This is a lovely place to sit and meet the community. You can tell the cafe was made with a lot of heart
