Sweet spot, amazing owner… my honest review… First… the fact that this even exists is a home run. Thank you for offering something more conscious that’s not just coffee.
but serving $16 Kava in cheap paper cups at your bar? Some simple tweaks would make this joint truly a more genuine experience. I want my Kava at least in an actual mug of some sort.
Lots of potential here. Nice inside vibe. But room to grow the brand. Bar tender was super welcoming. Guests were chill. Pets welcome. Neighborhood friendly vibe.
I would just prefer a more immersive / authentic kava experience. Not a fly by hot cocoa from a food truck. Just sayin… small tweaks.
Would definitely come back and bring my laptop and chill. I’m just a little prissy. 😉
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. This was my first time trying kava. The kava is a bit expensive (a large is $24) but it definitely works to relax you. Just beware kava means “bitter” and mixing the lava with ginger adds to the bitterness, but if you can get past that it’s very good. The overall atmosphere is chill with chill music and comfortable lounge areas. They also have 3 booths for people to sit and work or dine at while they enjoy their drinks. They also offer a variety of teas which have calming or exciting effects depending on what you choose. Would visit again.
Finally we have Kava in LA! If you like tea its a must try. Tasted really good, The owner was there and welcomed us. I had the classic and it was so relaxing and it helps me sleep better at night.
This place is one of the nicest places in the area there. They are genuine and they go out of they're way everyday, always greet you with a smile , and meeting all the cleaning practices from CDC If youve bever had kava, go get one or 3 but when you getting numb in the face, you know you feeling it right
I had no idea what kava was about, so I looked it up beforehand to get some idea. The barrista was knowledgeable and helpful. She told me what to expect and she was accurate. It's very relaxing without being psychoactive, it's more physically relaxing. It's rather pricey, and it tastes bad! You're warned in advance that it's not a sipping drink; you drink it all at once. It's not mind-altering, but it's very physically relaxing. It would be great after a stressful day, or definitely if you're sore. It's too expensive to drink every day, but I'll go back for a treat. One word of warning - it relaxes the uh, digestive tract. You might want to stay near a restroom for an hour.
I am super excited to find Kava bar so close to my home. I go there at least once a week and really enjoy their kava and crayon teas. Staff is very friendly as well!
very happy to have a kava/kratom cafe in LA. the counter servers are always nice too. ive tried several cafes and other than my favorite place in brooklyn this is the only other one that makes good kratom.
