So happy I stopped in! The taco place I wanted was COVID closed, stopped here and omg yes! Bfast croissant and the ESPRESSO MILKSHAKE absolute yum. And everyone so pleasant. Please stop by if you’re nearby!
Friendly staff and amazing food! Had a huge fresh-made omelet that was superb. Coffee and lattes are also fresh and not burnt. Hip little place, I highly recommend checking them out for breakfast.
Great little coffee shop - baristas are friendly, coffee is quality, overall good vibes. Service can be slow/unorganized when they're busy, but it's still worth it!
Had a dental appt across the street and popped over here to wait for my ride. What a great spot, fresh yummy breakfast foods. Perfect portion- and tasty dirty chai. Much better than big coffee chains. Sorry forgot to take a picture of Pao breakfast slider, basically pao de quiejo with tiny egg and toppings
I have come to this establishment in the past and it has been good, but today, the food was awful. Everything felt old and not fresh, everything lacked appropriate amounts of salt, and some of the items in particular were served cold. Upon request of heating, the items did not come back any warmer, which strikes of bad service. I will not be returning to this place again, and I would be wary of making judgment on past good reviews, as it seems to me the quality of this cafe has really dropped off
After the second incident I just had to review this place. On Sunday Apr. 15 I called the restaurant more than 20 times and nobody answered the phone. When I arrived at the restaurant to place an order that takes 30 seconds on the phone, the worker that was there told me that she wasn't able to answer the phone because she was swamped with customers. While waiting for my food I noticed that she was just ignoring the phone regardless of how much work she had. Today, I ordered over the phone and when I arrived to pick up my food I told the cashier I was going to eat here. He told me that in the future if I order over the phone I can't eat at the restaurant. It looks like these workers just don't want us as customers and I hope the owner knows this.
takes about 8-10min to deep fry some of their treats but they dont tell you that in advance. After sitting there and waiting 5 minutes I received a ping from amazon flex (which I work for), and had to go. I went over to tell the cook that I was leaving and coming back later, and she was very rude. Food a bit overpriced as well, 1 coxinha and a small can of soda goes for over 8 dollars
Really cool atmosphere and service. They have intelligensia coffee and the pao de queijo sliders were amazing. It's a cheesy bread with an american style breakfast. These are a must!
The lady working the counter was really sweet and helpful. I didn't get a sense of them trying to rush you to order. She talked with all the customers and made sure everything was ok.
The tuna melt was delicious - what stood out the most was the dried berry inside of the tuna. It reminded me of eating tuna fish sandwiches as a kid when people put relish inside of it. A bit of sweet really complimented the sandwich.
There is a wide variety of cooked pastries - coxinha(if you've been to porto's and eaten those potato balls, think of these as those on steroids), empananda and something that looked like a pot pie. The filling was either shredded chicken with green onions, shredded beef or tomato and mozzarella. My favorite of the three is the empanada because the bread was very similar to portuguese sweet bread so you got the savory with a touch of sweet.
I really like that whatever filling I got, chicken, beef, tuna you can see that it's all what it is and not one of those weird rubbery meat type product.
I'm definitely coming back here to explore for a nice weekend brunch!
Owner was pigheaded, RUDE, & disrespectful to myself and another customer on my first visit to Brasil Kiss.
The barista was friendly, professional, and made a very good cup of coffee. We chatted for literally a couple minutes which seemed to visibly anger the owner who gave nonstop dirty looks and made grunt noises.
While waiting for my drink, I politely asked the owner if his business was for sale (because I have real estate investors from Nevada interested in LA coffeeshops). He sharped yelled "NO!" and became enraged at the question.
In LA, you should not judge a book by it's cover. Millionaires and billionaires are sometimes dressed down- you never know!
I will not give this place my business again. In these times, we have lots of choices of where to spend our money- and this isn't a business worth supporting, in my humble opinion.
