On Saturday I went for a walk to bloom and plume and passed two other coffee shops before arriving. I must say I’m glad I did. The vibe in this place was 🔥. The staff was so friendly…it’s rare to see these days. My vanilla latte was beyond flavorful. I will definitely make this my weekend habit.

I stopped by Bloom & Plume one day and was impressed by the funky, colorful decor of the shop. There is even a mini photography exhibition inside the shop and it was definitely worth checking out close up.
The flat white was excellent, price was fair and the staff was friendly. There are a few small tables in the porch and outside on the sidewalk.

What a lovely neighborhood coffee shop! It’s unique lattes are a must try especially the Cardi P, flavored with Pistachio, Cardamom, Rose! The staff is delightful and the owner is an amazing artist and florist, so you can grab a coffee or tea along with a beautiful bouquet! Worth the trip!

Was excited to check out this cafe created by the florist next door by the same name. Ironically didn’t see much plantlife within but the facade has a beautiful trailing canopy of greens and the flowers on the tables are all real mini arrangements which I thought was a really nice touch.
The vibe is hard to place in here. It feels very Y2K meets upscale meets WeHo. The cafe is adorned with all kinds of flashy neon merch and beans to take home. The fixtures feel retro modern.
As far as the coffee goes there’s very little in terms of signature drinks that are not already signature to many cafes in the city. Honey Lavender and the Chagaccino have become mainstays in L.A. and are hardly new. The Butterflypea Latte seemed interesting but I wasn’t in the mood for soemthing that was matcha-like.
So I went with the Honey Lavender just to see how it stacks up against others in the surrounding neighborhoods (it’s becoming a measure of quality these days). The coffee was strong, and at least the lavender didn’t overpower the overall drink. Could have used a bit more honey for balance though.
My companion got the Flat White. I’m not familiar with those but it was rather bitter as it was not sweetened and the intensity of the grind was very evident.
Luckily we got some donuts as well. Both sweet to varying degrees but helped take the edge off the coffee’s strength.
Overall not bad if you want to avoid any of the chain cafes in the area. It’s in an odd part of the neighborhood so you get little foot traffic. And sadly you have to sit on the slanting sidewalk with no indoor seating as of yet. I personally don’t like sitting out that far near the street. Too many distractions to focus on conversation. But that’s a me thing. Many people in LA love it cause they want to be seen and this is perfect for them.

Really great vibes from this coffee shop. The colors, the merch... it almost makes you forget that you're here to get coffee. Their seasonal latte flavors are unique; I've tried both Saweetie Pie and the Cardi (something pistachio in the coffee); it's an experience!! If you're staying to hang, parking might be an issue but if you're just ordering to go or picking up, you should be all right.

I've come here several times and am dissatisfied every time. The coffee is great. Don't get me wrong. But you can get good coffee anywhere, these days. There's at least three coffee shops within walking distance.
The prices, the staff, and the owner's story are upsetting. A cut off t shirt sells for $65 in an empoverished community. A tiny cup of coffee for $7.50 is unaffordable to his neighbors.
When I made a friendly comment about the rap music, the employee got offended. She tried to defend the music by announcing the shop is "Black Owned" and that's why they were playing that music. She was white. She tried to lie and say the shop had been there 20 years. Then she continued by stating the owner was an LA native because he has lived in LA for 20 years. I was born here.
I was being friendly and mentioned gentrification, since rap and tattoos are more acceptable in the work place. She took offense to the word "gentrification".
$65 for a cut off T Shirt in an area of poverty...looks like gentrification to me. 🤷♂️

Simple cute coffee spot. Beautiful aesthetic. Sweaters t shirts and long sleeves w fun designs for sale. Flower arrangements for sale - on the pricey end. Yummy breakfast sandwiches, DELICIOUS HOT SAUCE, decent coffee options. Limited indoor seating but also a little outdoor seating. Not a huge joint but if you’re near by w a friend it’s a nice stop! Don’t ask for wifi password as they don’t share it so not a work spot cafe.

Went to try their brewed coffee. Taste good. Ambiance is nice. Well lighted and clean. Decor is appropriate with a twist. some items for sale (kinda expensive). Friendly staff. Didn't find a place to sit. There's a short line when we ordered. By the way, this shop is very close to Echo Park Tennis Courts. Will come back.
