Used to be amazing but is now a shadow of its old self. Food quality dropped considerably (used to be my go-to bfast burrito), and the espresso is just bad.

I really like this location. They usually have things in stock and the baristas are very friendly here.

Alfred coffee is a staple in Silver Lake. There's usually no lines and it's a great place to sit on the sunset strip. They have a covered outdoor patio that's currently closed because of the pandemic but otherwise it's a great place to sit and just hang out. The coffee is way overpriced as are their snacks. But if that doesn't matter to you then roll on by Alfred coffee for a quick brew.

Arrived today at 5:20pm and asked what time store closed and was told 6:00pm so we decided to stop for a coffee after shopping locally.
Ordered a tall Red Eye and a Tall Cafe Latte but was served and charged for a large latte total cost before tip $10:50 so not the cheapest coffee in town.
Watched the Barista make the latte and thought the expresso looked very pale like the grounds had been used before.
Sat on the outdoor terrace and discovered that my latte was merely a lukewarm milk drink. Was debating whether to complain about the latte when at 5:40pm the man working in the store came out onto the terrace and started placing the chairs on the tables which made us feel unwelcome so we decided to leave.
As we left the terrace he locked the door behind us and we saw that the female barista was already sweeping up the store.
I mentioned that the latte was merely lukewarm milk and the barista said she was sorry.
Horrible unfriendly service, horrible coffee. Will never be returning.

Awesome coffee, very good taste and feel - minus a point for no wifi, power outlets or bathroom.

I love Alfred! They have the best coffee and breakfast! Definitely one of my favorite places to go to!

This place is one of the trendy coffee shops along one of my recyclables route, in the Echo Park and Silverlake area, which is nearby Downtown Los Angeles, up Sunset Blvd, which branches out from Cesar Chavez Blvd, coming from DTLA and Chinatown, Olvera Street, or Union Station.

Great place to grab coffee and maybe spot a celeb. Friendly staff. The place is popular though so expect a line on the weekends!

With the explosion of explosion of artisan coffee shops I rolled my eyes when Alfred opened up at the bottom of my hill but the weird name peaked my curiosity. I dropped in and was very happy with the quality of their coffee. Less acidic then La Mill and Intelligentsia. It seems easier on my stomach. They serve a typical breakfast sandwich on sourdough as well as two different breakfast burritos which are pretty hefty. They serve anything a barista typically would on top of matcha as well as any other fad you can think in the coffee World currently. Alfred has had my business since the day I walked in. They serve Bagels pastries croissants both ham and cheese and spinach but frequently run out of food before late afternoon. Free Wi-Fi and Patio is dog friendly
