Steamhouse Coffee & Kava Bar

Love the space, the staff are friendly and I like the concept. But - please please take the collagen off the menu. Do you know what collagen actually is? It is located in skin, joints, bone, cartilage and connective tissue. This is a new craze. Obviously it is not from humans. It is animal tissue - this is so so disgusting I can't believe people think it is an OK thing to consume. It is gelatin. The 3 amino acids in collagen are non essential which means we make them in our own bodies anyway! The reason we lose the connective tissue in our bodies as we age is because we are lacking in Vitamin C which we should be getting from fruits and vegetables. Most people eat too much protein from animals especially, and not enough produce. So eat up your greens and fruit and you won't need to eat the jelly like substance from an animal's bones.

Came in because my son had a stomachache while we were downtown and was hoping to get him a ginger iced tea and they went above and beyond to make him a fresh tea to order.

Nice coffee shop offering different specialty drinks that are rare to find, nice staff and great atmosphere, but name needs to change as they do not serve kava anymore, as the name on Google would apply. Disappointed I drove an hour expecting a kava beverage.

Love lounging here for a cup or joe or a nice tea, especially before or after a yoga class. Nice, healthy snacks, salads & even probiotic coconut yogurt! Tables and comgy cushioned corners. While they are still figuring out the legalities behind the kava situation I do hope it comes back!

Like the coffee choices, they have protein shakes and teas. Like they have oat, soy and almond milks.

Great place to socialize! Our Christian visual arts group meets there every other week. The staff is friendly and courteous. Wonderful place!

Turmeric steamer was so smooth. Can't wait to go back for all the other craft drinks. Love the location too!

Kava was a new experience for me--interesting

I'd rate higher, but not enough stars offered. Dropped in from out of town & the baristas and owner were the kindest - quality of coffee was superb!
