Spacebar Cafe & Wine Bistro

Place had potential but not worth the stay in my honest opinion. After waiting 20 minutes to be attended, my friend asks for the wifi password (thus the name “Internet cafe”) and the guy up front asks immediately asks me if I’m going to get something, completely avoiding my friends question. I’m set back a little bit by this question and we’re told we can’t have access to the WiFi unless we BOTH plan on purchasing food/beverage. We just picked up our stuff and left. Place was not packed to the brim and the staff did not look busy. All but I’d say four seats were being used, including us. I don’t know, people might think differently but as long as a place isn’t really busy or full of customers trying to find seats after purchasing their food, this just made 0% sense to me. Not to mention the main wooden table we sat on was very sticky, presumably of someone who had ate or drank there prior.

Comedy night is my favorite. Love their parmesan fries! They were a little slow bringing out the orders due to be short staffed but they did the best they could do.

Space Bar is my favorite casual coffeehouse in SD. They also serve craft beers, wine, and kombucha on tap. They have a multitude of salads and sandwiches that are cooked to perfection. Thursday and Friday night are open mic nights which is a lot of fun. The performers are just so full of joy. I highly recommend this place if you just want to chill

Although a little lacking in atmosphere, they more than make up for out in great food and drink choices... Things you might not expect from a typical coffee shop type restaurant.
Excellent burger and fries, smoothies, wine and craft beers, and music most Saturdays.
They are kind of a compact, everything choice.

Almost a nice place. But the owner watches TV from across the room with the volume waaay up. "Could you turn that down please, it's cutting right through my headphones." "No, I'm watching my show!" Where did this guy learn customer service? Won't be going there again.

Not a family friendly joint-- they do not have high chairs. My wife and two young kids were met with what I would consider a rude, unwelcoming introduction to this "internet cafe". We would have spent a good bit of money and most likely returned in the future, but our server (with headphones on?) seemed indifferent or willing to help us at all. So we left and won't be returning. Just wanted to let other parents out there know that they won't accommodate for children, and I think that deserves 1 star.

I LOVE this place. It has quickly become a tradition for me to go here and take advantage of their delicious food and beverages. They have kombucha on tap which is awesome! (I recommend the raspberry flavor) I also love the smoothies they have, my favorite is the green hornet; it even has avocado! Then the Acai Bowls are also delicious. I love the atmosphere, the people are nice and actually care about their customers. Love this place. Can't say it enough.

Amazing service from Jasmine. She's the best at making any kind of coffee and the food here is really good. I usually order the loaded cheese fries or the BBQ chicken wings

I had the most beautiful night at Thursday Open Mic nite. My friends Becky and Chris took me there for my BIRTHDAY !
The owner Frank was so kind and did an amazing job cooking and serving the guests. We all ate Paninis and buffalo chicken fries cooked to perfection.
Everyone of the musicians were kind and I was encouraged by their singing and playing originals and covers. When I got up to play my songs I was warmly received by the crowd.
