Went there for lunch and it was great. Went back for dinner and due to the place being quite busy, we put in an order to go. As we were standing at the end of the bar my husband saw one of the waiters used his bare hands to make a salad . Literally put his hands in the lettuce and put it in a to go box. This was after we watched him take a credit card from someone. Yikes! Needless to say we left without our order.

My husband and I ate here passing through. We ordered breakfast and a side of potatoes, with the request of them being crispy. When the waitress brought them over, they were greasy and under cooked, so we returned them before she even set them down. When we finished eating, the owner came over very confrontational and said just because you ordered something doesn't mean your not paying for them!! We were in total disbelief. Thought she must surely be joking. She never asked why we didn't want them, her only concern was that we were going to pay the $3.50. I know she knew we were tourist and probably we wouldn't be back, so her concern wasn't to make us happy but to get her $3.50. Poor management to say the least.

So good! The French dip is to die for. They thicken the au jus (or however you spell it, lol) so it really sticks to the sandwich. They had a wide selection of appetizers on the "Specials board". We tried the Tamperia shrimp

Most of the times this is the only place that is open for lunch in June Lake. I guess that is how they justify over priced food. Their food is decent, nothing to rave about at the same time it is not bad. They have decent selection of sandwiches and burgers. It has a little bit of vintage atmosphere going for it. They also have a juke box. Overall, a decent place to have food if you are hungry and can't wait to get to other places (like Mammoth Lakes).

Meh food, not bad but not impressive. Very small for the price. Food came out pretty fast but the waitress ignored us. No refills at all and there were only 3 tables filled. Ingredients used felt cheap, but the chef did a good job. Would go here again only because you won't get sick and there is nothing else around.

Pretty sure my card was compromised after using it here. Hadn’t used it in a month. The day I used it here later on it was used 4 times on online gambling. Wells Fargo is investigating. Food wasn’t cooked all the way either. Wasn’t gonna complain til I saw that on my statement. Double whammy for me

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. We are locals, from Bishop, out for a day of photography up in June Lake. As the hunger struck, we stopped in at this establishment for lunch. What a bummer, to say the least. It took 10 minutes for a server to appear, then my hubby received his, wilted salad before our water and beer arrived. His burger a was small dried up thing on a soggy bun. My 'veggie' sandwich was served on bread that was plainly stale, as it fell apart and I had to eat the awful array of veggies with a fork. The limp greasy fries tasted of fish, ugh. We were so hungry that we ate some of it anyway. That in itself taught me, that once and for all, I will not.. accept subpar food for
My money, any more. Just because a place is small town, shouldn't mean that the food and service are beyond AWFUL.

I love the Tiger Bar after a day of hiking or playing in the snow. Service can be a little slow, but all the waiters/waitresses we've had are super nice and you have a great view of the mountains from the window, so it's more like hanging out than waiting. Next time I'm in June Lake I will for sure visit again

I'm sometimes surprised that I'm asked to review a restaurant over and over and over, but here's another Tiger Bar review.
I'm 73 years old. I was taken to the Tiger Bar by my parents for the first time when I was just two, in the summer of 1947. It's been a big part of my family's life for as long as I can remember. I love the food, the people and the atmosphere. My favorite lunch and dinner is the Beefeater Sandwich with Tiger Chips, which are delicious freshly made potato chips. For breakfast, the Chicken Fried Steak. My wife especially likes the Machaca, as well as other Mexican food items. The Tiger Bar is, by far, the best place to eat at June Lake, and a fun lifetime tradition for my family.
