Anna's Marketplace Bakery

Absolutely phenomenal blueberry cake doughnuts. So light and fluffy, with an almost crisp outside crust, topped with the most delicious blueberry icing. I'm also a big fan of their Boston cream doughnuts (which they just call "round cream filled"), the cream filling is almost like whipped cream but a little butterier and sweeter. They also have a selection of house-made cream cheese spread for their bagels, I especially like the chive and onion. I have not had one yet, but by all appearances and reports their breakfast burritos are terrific as well. It can get really busy on weekend mornings.

Love this bakery. What ever you get it's always fresh and it comes with a smile. I get the apple freder or the palm leaf. The lemon squares are good and the bread pudding. You can't go wrong. Anna's the place.

Amazing! Cheap prices for some of the best baked goods I've had. I tried the peanut butter, oatmeal raisin, and snickerdoodle cookies, the lemon bar, the French donut, a macaron, chocolate dipped coconut macaroons, and a mocha frap! Everything was soooo gooood. You must stop by if you're in the neighborhood!

I love this place! They make the best croissants and danishes I have ever eaten!

If you want a pastry go for the raspberry or cream cheese danish!
If you want a more savory choice go with the ham and cheddar croissant.
If you want a doughnut go with the blueberry cake doughnut or buttermilk bar!

Other amazing things: The Lemon Bars, Ganche dipped macaroons, Pull-apart cinnamon bread!!!, and the zucchini bread muffin.

I am sure I am missing something but they are amazing at what they do. They bake mostly everything fresh every night!!! For a cheap eat go there before closing for cheap, yet still very tasty doughnuts!

One concern I have heard from others is that if you want croissants or pastries heated you will need to use the microwave yourself to heat them up. To me this is not a big deal (because everything is good as served and heated up in the microwave) and I understand that whenever Anna's Bakery has a line out the door, which happens quiet often, it would be impossible to heat everyone's treats up.

Annas bakery has turned into my Sunday breakfast spot, love the cozy environment as you take a deep breath of freshly baked sandwiches and sweets! I recommend this place to anyone. Exceeds Starbucks in more that 20 ways!

Best Chocolate Croissants and donuts I've had in all 7 states I've lived in. I grew up going to the grocery store every couple weeks with my Dad, excited about getting a chocolate croissant, and sought out the finest chocolate croissants in Austin, Chicago, Madison, Iowa City, D.C. and more - but none come close to the perfectly buttery, chocolate-packed, flaky, enormous croissants that Anna's makes. Thank you for making my life so much more chocolatey! :)

Excellent bakery. Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Baked goods are delicious. We were just passing through Goleta and stopped! Glad we did!

The apple fritters are awesome! And they are available in 2 sizes - small and large! Awesome!
