First time here, although I've heard about it a lot (my nephew bakes their bread).

Really broad menu, although by the time we arrived-- about 940 a.m. on a Sunday-- they were sold out of all quiches and other breakfast entrees. They had plenty of croissants and pastries to choose from.

My wife chose a lemon croissant, and I chose a plain one. She loved hers. Mine had plenty of oven spring and a lovely crunchy, chewy crust. However, center of the 'mie' was a bit doughy.

We lingered over coffee (excellent drip coffee) long enough that I could order something off the lunch menu: cheddar brocolli soup. Glad I did. Not overly heavy in consistency. Cheese was not overpowering. You could actually taste the slightly crunchy pieces of onion and brocolli.
Clean place with plenty of seating both in the cafe and immediately outside. Pleasant staff. Mostly hipster clientele.
I picked up a loaf of my nephew's pain levain. Will use it for bruschetta this evening and publish an update.
Overall, a very pleasant experience. Reasonable prices.

No indoor seating as of a week ago from this review, but there is outdoor seating. They were sold out of a lot of pastries when we got there later in the afternoon which is a good sign, but had a Chico Chai and it was a delicious chai. Proper. šŸ‘

Got the white chocolate mocha, lemon poppy seed muffin, and snickerdoodle. Overall everything was great! Staff was sweet and attentive. Will be going back soon.

One good thing in California is this bakery!Consider moving to Gilbert Arizona and opening up a bakery here you will be a huge success!

Best bread in town. Good pastries. Usually good staff... Sometimes they talk among themselves to much. Good place to find locals. Good coffee. Look for local author Emily Gallo there daily writing her next novel.

I love the concept of this place. Although the experience can often feel a bit lackluster. Food is decent, but I think they could definitely make a better coffee. When it's packed, it's no fun. Too much noise, too crowded. Go early, and you'll be alright. Parking blows...hard.

Great coffee and baked goods. Serves good food too. I only hold back from a 5 star review because the wifi is down and they have apparently decided not to fix it since it has been months. Went out a long time ago and they have apparently decided not to fix it. Manager just shrugged.

Great service. Need to warm pastry a little if eaten in store. Quiche was very tastey. Moca needs to be warmer when served.

Their rich, delicious lattes were my gateway drug, and now Iā€™m hooked on Tin Roof! We buy our bread here and love trying their creative daily sandwich selections (including vegetarian)!

How Chico has two Bakery Coffee shops within walking distance of one another that deserve a five star review is a mystery. However, what's not a mystery is how delicious coffee and dessert at Tin Roof are. Coconut macaroons, beet salad, and coffee with cinnamon. A perfect afternoon.
