I've been a member since 2015 and absolutely love this gym and wouldn't go anywhere else.

Some staff is great, some are nasty. wifi is horrible, dont even know why they say they offer it, 2014 get a solid wifi connection throughout your gym. hours are not great they close way too early, if equipment breaks it stays broken for at least 3 weeks. locker room smells like sweaty balls, 75 percent of the time, which is getting better then all the time, all the nozzles in the steam room do not work. That being said,if they could fix some of the small things this would be a great gym. but until then for the 50 dollar a month price for a one year contract, its hit or miss. also i do not take advantage of all the classes which i heard are great, so that is possibly where the higher monthly fee comes from. A decent gym that could be a great gym if they had a better GM.

Went here with my boyfriend to inquire about a membership while visiting Chico for a month. We were given a tour, which the facility looked pretty good. When we asked if we could do a 1 month membership we were told we could buy a 3 month membership for $225 a piece and that we could sell/transfer the remainder of our membership to someone (at a $20 charge). We asked if we could work out a 1 month membership, the guy helping us asked his higher up to which they responded with no. It's a shame they had to turn away two potential clients. We are taking our business elsewhere.

READ BEFORE JOINING!! I've been coming here for years and have watched this once lovely sport club turn into a car dealership mentality. There is now either an increase in price or a fee for everything! It's almost $60 bucks for basic member ship and if you have the family join then you can welcome $120+ a month. I actually for once in my life welcome corporate gym's to keep places like this honest.

I love my club! Chico Sports Club is a down to earth friendly place to get your exercise. I have been a member for 13 years. My kids learned to swim in the heated pool. Now we swim laps together. The staff is personable and greet me in the morning with a smile. My wife and I enjoy Joey's boot camp classes three days a week and I am looking forward to trying spinning class to get ready for the wild flower ride. I especially like the atmosphere, it is comfortable, the people who come here are nice and it never feels too crowded even at peak times.

Stephanie with billing is extremely rude and uncooperative. Facility is dirty and many people I know had a nightmare with getting bills while they were closed for Covid. We switched to In Motion Fitness, it is only $14 more and a million times better. They were able to safely stay open through Covid as well.

I used to love this place but it has gone downhill. The only good thing is the front desk. However I was told they are videotaped 24 hours a day and have to continuously fold towels. The worst experience of late is a flapping tent over the heated pool because they can't afford to keep it warm. Locks don't work well. Showers hard to adjust. Sorry to see this happen.

We've been members off and on since my daughter joined the swim team they had in 95. Chico Sports Club called my doctor for instructions on how best to help with my health issues. I owe them my life. I would drive from Durham three times a day and spend five minutes on the bike until I built to daily 13 miles. From there aqua aerobics had a class called Joint Effort- very slowly moving in warm pool. A few months some of us could get in without walkers. I started regular aqua aerobics and built to their Masters swimming program. My kids ranging from 3-7 would go to childcare and they would even escort them to and from swim lessons so I didn't have to leave class. I had to stop in 05 for a year after an accident, but used their PT guys, eventually going back in the water. I rejoined as a single, not having to pay a fee due to past member status. Once again I had to stop and rejoin. I do have to say the last time maybe five years ago I had some difficulties with the billing office and auto bill- a new computer program they were using and finally gave up. She was very rude when I went in to straighten it out. Knowing the types of people Jeff likes for mgt I doubt she lasted I'm reviewing this now because I intend to start another single membership as a senior. The seniors I saw 20 years ago were always having a good time. I hope they still have those programs. BTW- the rest of my family moved over to In Motion years ago for the pool. I tried. They just don't have what CSC does- that welcome, how can we besr serve you feel.

After being given the wrong cancellation information and me doing my part to properly cancel a month before, I was asked to pay another month of membership before the month even started. The sales agent only said, “I’m sorry you were given the incorrect information earlier, but you’re still going to have to pay another month and the fee.” Acknowledging the mistake, but unwilling to help even though I was going to pay the cancellation fee BEFORE the month started. Go to another gym, where customer service is important.
