I just payed a visit to this heavenly establishment for the first time and boy was I shocked. Their food...it’s unbelievable! They were pretty busy/full when we came in and when we left. My boyfriend and I had to settle for a seat at their bar which was perfectly fine. The server was amazing and super nice to us. I ordered the eggs and bacon which came with toast and your choice of potato. I chose the home fries which were AMAZING!! The eggs and bacon were top notch as well. Their bacon is thick sliced so all you bacon lovers out their should go in and pig out ;). I also ordered one single pancake (I saw the option on the menu and I instantly fell in love—I mean I can barely eat one let alone a short stack). So the pancake was one of the most delicious things I have ever put in my mouth. The edges were crispy, the cake was fluffy, it wasn’t too sweet but it was packed with so much flavor...it was the size of the plate so needless to say I wish they would’ve brought it out first before I downed 2 cups of amazing coffee and my eggs and bacon and home fries and a slice of toast haha. My boyfriend ordered a bacon and egg burrito that was massive and it looked pretty delicious as well. If I would’ve had any kind of space in my tummy I would have tried it as well. I was just impressed that it came with a side of guacamole, sour cream, and salsa. This is one establishment I will definitely be returning to unless the line is out of the door, as it should be.

It's a cozy little place that you could potentially pass by if you're not looking for it. I treated my kids, nieces, and nephews to a Christmas breakfast here. It was the only place I could find that was open on Christmas morning and had dine-in. The food was good. The only thing I would nitpick about it they don't have your average pancake, bacon, and egg type of special. Almost everything we ordered we had to order an additional al la carte side dish to go with our meal. That made the bill pretty pricy. Much more than I expected to pay but overall the kids were happy to have a chance to get out and eat at a restaurant. If I go back, I'll either go by myself or with only one other person lol.

I go to the Cathedral City Sunshine Cafe. They now allow eat in as well as carry out. I love the Sunshine Cafe and have eaten there for breakfast usually, for many years. Their breakfasts are always delicious! My favorite is the two egg special you get 2 eggs, hash browns or home fries, toast and coffee. I'm not sure if the price is still 5.99 because we always have two or three of us and we split the bill but even if it was double that it would still be worth it! The Cathedral City location is very homey not perfect inside but that just makes it better! And the staff is great. The best place in town, especially for breakfast.

It was a nice place. Small and personable. Good variety of food with out having too much. The service was good. The staff was very friendly. Our food came out hot and good. The prices were reasonable also. Definitely going back!

A real diner with great service. We had breakfast. Wonderful "fried" potatoes and good sausage. Biscuits and gravy left something to be desired but the blueberry pancakes were yummy. My intention is to eat my way through the menu.

I really don't want to review this place cause I don't want it to get any busier. Good basic breakfast/lunch place. It's kind of hidden away on the street where the dirty bookstore and video booths are and a bunch of industrial businesses. And it's a regular hangout for the gays in town.
Chicken fried steak and eggs is great!

I had a meeting with a friend at the Sunshine Cafe. We didn't eat so I could not tell you if the food was good or not. But everyone was very polite and pleasant to one other, which lead me to believe that this is a place that adults can sit, eat and have a pleasant conversation with the table next to you. There was outdoor dining. The restrooms were very clean. And on a Friday afternoon, it was a little busy. There is wheelchair accessibility, I notice wheel access because my father was in a wheelchair.
