Not impressed at all with the customer service from this location or the taste of the coffee and hot chocolate. We were standing in line and a worker said we need to stand to the other side..okay, fine, but then the cashier opens up and we went back to the spot we were originally standing. The hot drinks were barely warm. I like the Scotts Valley locaion better.

Very friendly and honoring staff. Excellent Lattes, Dirty Chia tea Lattes, and Dirty Chai tea Javivas, etc... . By far the best quality in the Bay areas. Like this shop, many do not have enough seating inside, but ample outside. Simply worth the wait to hang out. I have been a customer for over 15 years. I normally frequent Peet’s twice a day great breakfast food, and sandwiches which I usually buy 5 to 7 days a week.
I recommend Peet’s Coffee and Tea often.

It's Peet's, so you know the coffee. Staff is competent, cheerful. Outside seating has umbrella, but it is after all a shopping center. Inside chairs are a bit shopworn, but laid out with good room between them (I've seen motorized wheelchair move fairly easily inside).

Look, in reality, a bad experience in a coffee house is pretty minor to say the least. But if I can help one person avoid a frustrating situation, then I've accomplished something by doing this.
Simply, the customer service at this store has hit rock bottom. Numerous times I've had to wait in line while the caffeined chatty cashier, goes on and on with the current customer at her register. This while the line is heading towards the door. The manager is too lazy to jump on the other register, she is too busy restocking items that could easily be restocked later when the store is slow. But that would require her to wait on customers. Oh no not that!
The first rule of retail is, wait on the customers. And if there is a line, add cashiers to keep the line moving. It is truly unbelievable how so many places today, don't respect that rule, or their customers.
Lastly, they are always out of the best pastries by the time I get there. Which is not that late really. I mentioned to the manager that she should order more, because they are selling and she would profit by selling more, and order less of the same ones nobody buys. Stared at me blankly. Couldn't give a damn what I was saying or thinking.
Bummer, this place used to be cool. Now just lazy, full of itself, and not satisfying.

My favorite coffee shop in town. Not as sweet as Starbucks with more coffee, but not burnt like all the "hip" coffee roasters. Also the staff are THE BEST.

I have never had a good experience here. The lack of light or medium roast coffee bothers me a little, but it has to be the casheirs that get me the most. This morning I stood as the lone person in line for more than a minute or two while the cashier had a not so important conversation with the barista. When he decided that I existed, I chose to "consider the menu" and stood there to repay the favor by wasting a little of his time. Well, that really upset the cashier so he stormed off into the backroom not to be seen again. This attitude, self-imporant malaize, is the culture at this Peet's Coffee. Mr. Toots is just as far for me with a better view. I will never drink another ounce of Peet's. Period.
UPDATE: Brought back here by a friend today who thought she could change my mind. After a few minutes of standing in line with the workers idling while the line piled up like hwy 1, my friend started to worry "what are they doing?" It wasn't until the line reached from the counter to the door (I was 2nd from the front) that the two cashiers decided it was time to work again. During our wait the staff was all kind of puttering around and having casual conversations. I have worked for a coffee shop, so has my friend. We know.
Worry grows on the face of the girl at the espresso machine with each addition to the queue.
I order the medium roast; like the guy next to me. Both my cashier and his cashier dash to the coffee container behind them.
Its a race!
My cashier is slower - no matter, turns out the medium roast is all gone. My cashier asks me if I want to wait. She asks me, if I want to... wait. Isn't that what I've been doing?
This establishment is an embarassment. You have 2 jobs, make coffee, sell it.
Still haven't had a drop.

I visit this pace everyday. Baristas are friendly, professional and humorous...Brighten any day. My team and I adore Liv. She is the best and provides white-glove customer service.

Good coffee. Especially if you need a change from that same Starbucks flavor. This coffee tastes more "organic" if I had to use a word to describe it. Where Starbucks tastes more " fast food" like, to me.

The place is small but has Great Coffee. What got me was the Delicious Cheesecake. Will definitely go there again.
