The food is great, but it’s the staff who are truly wonderful. We only ordered a sandwich, and the server brought out an extra bowl of strawberries for my toddler.
I’ve also seen them feed unhoused people with dignity and no questions asked. Truly a wonderful local business.

Generous amount of salmon on toast with cream cheese & punchy capers, ample fresh avocado slices on another toast order. We didn't have coffee this time but they have a full espresso bar. Delicious paninis: we tried the portabello & feta etc. A place for something a little different! Closed Wednesdays and close at 2PM other days ( call or check this). If you are running late: call & order for pickup- I saw them being helpful to someone this way. AND YOU CAN'T BEAT A NICE CAFE at a BOOKSTORE! PS There is plenty of outdoor seating for your Covid comfort or to enjoy with your dog.

Dylan is the best barista anyone could ask for. He deserves a raise.

Great breakfast place! Make the stop!
It's a little difficult to find, entrance is in the back not off the main road. Expect it to take a little longer than normal "fast food"- but totally worth the 10-15 min to get fresh food from a local shop.
They even gave us a free panini after they made one by mistake.
Just by the color of the eggs you can tell they use local eggs and items like they say on their sign.
Plenty of options on the menu, great spreads, fresh food, and hot! Can't ask for much more :)
I also tried the liege waffle treat, a great sweet treat without being too sweet.

We had best sandwiches ever! Panini sandwich with smoked Turkey and avocado and sriracha sauce is hands down the best! The lady who served us our breakfast was very friendly!

Tasty, healthy food. Yummy tea and cappuccino. We liked the place so much, we decided to have breakfast there again the next day. Portobello Mushroom Panini, Smoked Salmon Toast, Avocado Lettuce Tomato Sandwich and Liege Waffle were great.

Best peppermint mocha I’ve ever had in my life, and the owner, Janette, is super-cool (although I do know someone who knows her #fulldisclosure). Great panini’s! And I even found a copy of a book I couldn’t find anywhere else in the bookstore attached to the café!

100% will stop here every time I go to Mammoth. 5 Stars A+ 10/10 Yum

I really liked this place. Tucked away behind the Spellbinders bookstore there's inside and outside seating. The menu is awesome with all kinds of avocado toast. I had the eggs on an avocado which was good but as another reviewer mentioned the eggs are microwaved and not great. Coffee was excellent however and they serve waffles which I will try next time.

This is the best coffee in Bishop! It does not disappoint with barista’s that know coffee! Thank you!

Pupfish Cafe is our favorite stop as we swing through the lovely town of Bishop on our way home from Mammoth. The food is light, flavorful and we'll prepared by very friendly staff. The breakfasts are are not heavy and are perfect fare as you begin your trek home. Don't forget to try their absolutely delicious Liège waffles. They're the lesser known but far superior (in my opinion) Belgian variety of waffle. You won't be disappointed!
