Bonnie's Best Cafe

The bread on my sandwich was stale when I got home. I called Lupe and she refused to do anything about it; not even a discount on a future purchase. I’ve been a customer for 20 years, I don’t plan on going back.

ALWAYS love there sandwiches. The Tanya Harding is AMAZING and that potato salad is to die for! i wish i had the recipe to make it. amazing food every single time

I love the sandwiches here. Great, fresh ingredients. No skimming on a great Sandwich. My favorites are Dagwood and Kevin Bacon. Casseroles are great too. Plus the little extras they have. Love you guys. Great staff! ❤️

I highly recommend purchasing a brownie from Bonnie's, my gosh. One of my favorite desserts ever. The casserole we tried was... a casserole haha. About what you would expect. We were charged for a full order, when we only received half, but that was no biggie (family of 2 humans, worked out). If you miss suburban potlucks from the 90s, it's worth a visit.

The chicken salad is delicious - a bit sweet with grapes and pickles, I didn't expect to love it, but I did. Bonnie's is quite small inside, but still manages to fit seven tables and a counter to sit at. The themed sandwiches were quaint and, of the ones I've had, yummy! I haven't had a chance to try their take-home dinners (casseroles you bake at home), so I can't speak to that. Prices seem pretty average for a sandwich shop. I definitely hope to eat here again.

The staff is always super kind and helpful. The food is fresh and delicious. They really wowed me with the mushroom bisque. So good. I continue to get my Katie Holmes every time. One day I'll try their casserole dinners too.

I used to come here for their great sandwiches 20 years ago. It was great to see them still in business. I was passing through town and found myself driving by. I went in and had my old reliable sandwich. Outstanding as ever. Generous portion also. They must be doing something right if they are still around. Right?

Awesome place in Bakersfield, great sandwiches

Annie made my wife and I an amazing sandwich! Yum, today we tried Bonnie’s Best Cafe for the first time. Definitely a hidden GEM of Bakersfield! I will be back for one of the signature casseroles... great old fashioned service... go have lunch there today!

I must say that I loved the catchy names to the orders. I had the Tom Cruise sandwich and it was delicious along with a raspberry filled cookie. Yum! I can't wait to try the Mona Lisa, Rocky Balboa or the Kevin Bacon! Till next time!
