Charlie's Cafe

Great little off the beaten path place. Best onion rings I've ever had.

Heres the good;
Not a bad little Cafe for the area and has very large pancakes. They have all day breakfast which is awesome. I got some jalapeño poppers that came with like 4 or 5 and costed a little over $6 I believe so, some items are a little pricey and others were fairly cheap just depends on what you get.
Now the bad;
Save yourself from the banana pie it's the worst I've ever had. I don't know what they do or how it's made but it didn't taste like banana at all and had the weirdest texture
Our server didn't smile not once and maybe spoke 2 words. The regulars made me uncomfortable like we were intruding on their spot and like we didn't belong there. Other than one guy who stared at us the intire time and commented on everything we did, ate, or conversated about between ourselves.

Great little small town Cafe. Terrific prices, be sure to check out the specials posted on the boards. Bring cash. No credit or debit cards accepted.

An old country town with an old school cafe and an absolutely delicious meal! Super friendly staff too. Full and happy belly! 😊

One of my favorite places to eat on vacation... LOVE is in the food... And a little sass. We love Charlie

This restaurant was a great find! The portions for the breakfasts that we ordered were very generous. And the food we ate was very tasty. The place was clean and very down home and friendly. I try to find the small restaurants that are family owned instead of those big fancy chain restaurants. I would highly suggest going out of your way if you have to) to go to Charlie's Cafe.

Onion rings light with savory batter and ranch dip.
The patty melt and chicken fried steak are sandwiches which worked well for takeout. We enjoyed them at the nearby Cricket Creek park.
Ambience humble and clean.
I would go again.

Quality of food has seriously gone down hill since Charlie passed away. I don't think I will be getting food from there anymore. Very disappointing

Fast convenient and the food is great. Friendly and helpful employees. Beautiful country in mountains.
