One girl truly ruined the experience for me. Wish I got her name.
I'm new to the area and wanted to grab coffee on Saturday morning - I like to explore new coffee shops to do work at sometimes and since this place is right across the street from my new apartment, I figured it would be an awesome place to try.
However, pretty much immediately after I entered with my boyfriend, we were given dirty looks by the girl behind the register.
My boyfriend asked if they had seating on the roof since a large portion of their seating was closed for a "private event" and we were met with a snarky "that's a different business".
I then ordered a cheese and egg breakfast sandwich and asked if they had any other proteins besides ham and turkey bacon. The employee responded that "there's egg on the sandwich". This comment almost took me out of character because that was completely uncalled for, but instead, I simply replied "you know what I meant but add ham".
So we completed our order and received our burnt coffee (I ordered a caramel macchiato and the caramel was not mixed properly) then we proceeded to wait for 20 to 30 minutes for our food. It does not take that long to make two sandwiches when there were only 3 other customers at the time and they arrived after us.
We waited directly in front of the register so it was NOT possible to forget we were waiting. So, I finally asked another employee if our food was ready.
The employee I asked followed up with the rude employee who placed the original order and I watched as she laughed then walked over to the chef and asked about the sandwiches.
When she finally brought them over to us she handed one to me (even though I reached for both) and handed one to my boyfriend.
She has a very NASTY attitude and it took everything I had to not address her in the same manner.
I can't help but feeling she did not like seeing me with my partner because we are an interracial couple. I just can't think of any other reason for such treatment when we were just two easygoing customers who simply wanted coffees and breakfast sandwiches...
I will only return if I speak directly to management and am able to report this employee.
She is ruining their business.

So good - I’ve gone twice while being in town so far. My oat white mocha was $7.88 tho so not quite affordable 😅 as a regular adventure.
It’s definitely an interesting ambiance. As a regular cafe goer/coffee shop visitor, it’s quite a mix of bright working environment combined with more chill less-lit areas that gives me a catching up with friends vibe.
I will say I got a bagel my second time and wish it was toasted 😕 - I couldn’t head back to ask…so this didn’t quite make for the breakfast experience I hoped.

My wife loves their hot Chai and the cranberry oatmeal muffin!
Avocado toast is amazing!

Lots of space for different meeting sizes and tons of seating. They serve coffee roasted by Peixoto. Delish.
(Not a huge deal if you're just there for a single meeting, but I had some trouble finding a place to sit and charge my laptop and the WiFi wasn't password secure.)

I had a morning meeting and the person wanted to meet here. I hadn't been - even though it is near me - and was surprised at how nice the place is. Calm vibe, great environment. Iced Coffee was excellent. Will have to check-out as a place to do more meetings and do some work at.

The space is great but the ambiance and coffee is lacking. The espresso was way over extracted (so if you are into second wave style coffee you might enjoy it) and the music was way too loud, I had to have headphones on for it to be at an enjoyable listening level. Bagel was decent but not having just normal plain cream cheese as an option is odd.

Located inside Phoenix General, this place has such a cool vibe from the minute we walked in the door. The barista was super helpful and really sweet with recommendations of things to do in Phoenix. They have the elusive light roast coffee that nowhere else seems to carry (Starbucks not included because I don't like their burnt flavor). The interior/seating area is (inside? part of?) a mix of boutique art gallery meets indie public market (candles, skincare, plants). Oh and they have wine and light bites.
As a new resident to the downtown neighborhood, I'll be walking over there with my laptop at least once a week to bask in the cool vibes and sip light roast and/or wine while doing some remote work. Apparently there's also a weekly drop in yoga class in the art gallery area. It has a little bit of everything I like.

Good place, I usually come here on Saturday mornings but won't be coming in anymore. I asked if I could use the bathroom but the girl at the register said no since they got the section reserved. What's upsetting is I did spend the money, was sitting up front but they did let in others to use it. Not worth coming back.

I love coming here for the yoga class , & chitchatting with my friends and family over an amazing coffee . So comfy and spacious! Try their seasonal drink options!

This is a standby favorite: big, airy indoor space with high ceilings, multiple seating arrangements from couches to picnic tables, a bar and good food. Coffee is solid. This is a place to spend the day or start the morning off with style. Highly recommended.
