Cheap! Kombucha is not a drink you would put ice in. People want the probiotics! I know this since I make it at home. People are willing to pay for a full cup in this building even if that means you raise the price. Raise the price by a $1.00 for a full cup. Don’t use ICE as a filler in people’s Kombucha...
Update: They did the right thing and charged a little more for the Kombucha. The owner even steeped out to speak with me. Five Stars

I am not a coffee lover however, since visiting Dapper and Stout I have been craving a really good latte. Whether you are in the mood for coffee or a cocktail, Dapper and Stout is the place for you. They also serve pastries and have an amazing lunch menu to match their drink selections.

Great coffee very close to the convention center. Didn't love their breakfast sandwiches but overall a great spot.

The barista was very nice. While I like dapper and stouts coffee,, I am not a fan of this location. It's very hard to get to by car. I had an appointment nearby and decided to leave my car and walk the 2 blocks. There is construction around there so the block walk was longer than expected. If I didn't have an appt near, I prob would not have stopped. The hassle of finding a spot overrides the deliciousness of the drink.
All the same my Mexican mucho gusto and my son got a cereal frozen drink were both really good. He got a cookie too, which he said was all right not great.

One of the only places open on Sunday morning by our hotel in downtown. Excellent coffee, none of that creamy thick starbucks stuff. This large coffee actually kept me awake. I got the breakfast sandwich on an English muffin and my sister got the sausage breakfast one. Both were served with chips? Odd but also very tasty. Looooved the food! The pepper they added to the egg was amazing and a great touch

I love espresso! The flavor of the coffee is very good to me I can see how others might say it's burnt but I don't believe that is the case. I would suggest trying it and see how it reacts with your palette but it is definitely a good cup of Joe. I did notice they use a lever to extract the espresso which is pretty unique. An important thing to note is if you plan on visiting this place parking is a hassle downtown. That's the only reason for the 4 stars. I asked the barista if they could validate because I had to pull into a parking garage below the Bank of America building and he said he did not have a way of doing that. So if you can find some free parking and a way to get there it pays off, or if you happen to be walking around or working downtown it's worth a visit.

Finally, FINALLY there's a non-chain coffee dispensary within spitting distance of the convention center! I'll probably have to update my review since I've only been there once, but so far, I like it. They have decent coffee (with lots of flavor options, if that's your thing), and breakfast sandwiches, and muffins, and Belgian waffles. None of it is cheap, but given that location that's no surprise. The cappuccino and waffle and muffin I tried were all squarely in the "pretty good" category.
EDIT! After a few years, I'm afraid my love for this place has diminished by a star. I like coffee in the afternoon even better than the morning, so their new hours (closed by 12:30) means I'm out of luck. Their prices seem even higher now, but the breakfast sammiches are still really good. The coffee is better on some days than others, depending on which barista is working that day. Pastries are okay, not great.

Incredible espresso, the lever machine says it all. I've roasted my own coffee, put 2k at an espresso setup at home, drank a lot of good coffee in AZ so I have some experience in coffee. I would rate it up top 3 shops in Arizona especially if the owner is pulling the shots. Highly recommend getting the doppio. There's an extensive menu with great espresso base to develop from, so there's something for everyone.

Ordered two different pastries. Worker gave me the two same pastries didn't notice until I came back to the office because they covered it both in wrap. I don't think they knew the difference. I also ordered coffee but the worker was sniffling and sneezing all over the place while making the coffee. Just threw the coffee away.

Had a muffin and coffee. The muffin was nice but i would have liked it room temp instead warmed up. Its a personal preference that was not given to me as an option. The coffee was watered down heavily and way too hot. It took nearly 15 mins to cool off. The price was reasonable though. I have tried the other location in Glendale and wasnt sure they were affiliated because the quality was way worse here. I am willing to try them out again but so far im not impressed.
I returned to the location and will admit a couple errors on my part. I didnt read the print on the menu stating all muffins are warmed up. I also did not see that the house coffee is an americano. I dont care for americanos so those were my mistake. After a second visit the staff was still cery polite, the muffin was very nice. But the coffee still was just ok. Most of the drinks are loaded with sweetners and the coffee taste very burnt. The cold brew is very nice though.
