Off the charts. I ordered an apple tart for Christmas Eve dinner party. It was flawless. I am from NYC. I'm a foodie. I went to Payard in NY for pastries. Dined world wide. I KNOW pastry. This was world class. Thank you Lars. That crust.... You don't recall who I am but I'm a customer now.

Carefree Coffee Roastery is beyond exceptional! We came upon this little gem in the desert while visiting Arizona from Ohio. The very personable owner Lars has such a depth of knowledge and passion for his coffee. My wife and I had the best lattes we have ever tasted here and are now ordering our coffee beans from here to be shipped to Ohio. This will the only coffee we drink from here on out! 10 stars for Carefree Coffee Roastery!!!!

This is THE BEST place to enjoy a true coffee shop experience in the area- maybe in Phoenix! Coffee and teas are amazing, food is fresh baked and made on the premises. Seating outside is great- cozy and great views of the mountains in every direction. Stop by and enjoy!

Awesome place to go for coffee. Lars is great. He is ready to serve, very welcoming, and can make almost any coffee drink. This is a place that the locals love. So it doesn't just rely on tourism. This is a unique place that gives a viable option to the coffee chain stores. I loved it!

This is the Real Deal!
I have enjoyed a number of visits and this is my go to spot for
compelling coffee, in several variations. Further, the pastry, yogurt
and other offerings are first rate. The ambiance is 'European Urbane,'
and comfortable.
Many, many visits later, alone and with others, I can suggest as of late April, 2021 that this iconic spot has, if anything, only gotten better. My Guests have been effusive in praising all facets of ‘Coffee,’ and several have advised that THEY now bring their friends.

What a wonderful gem in Carefree! Fantastic coffee and even better breakfast and lunch foods with a German/European flair. And don't forget the delicious pastries! Everything is so fresh and healthy. Great quiet spot to enjoy a special treat.

Delicious meals, skilled barista, well made drinks, good variety of coffee/tea…atmosphere is calm,laid back smooth jazz music, friendly staff … great anniversary spot❣️
