Zudy's Cafe

First time here, loved it! Food was SO good and Judy was sweet enough to come out and meet our dog George. The perfect touch to a wonderful lunch!

I checked whether I can stay here during the day, and one hour later we are asked to leave because they need more space for lunch time. Why don't you tell me earlier?

Freaking amazing coffee and cheesecake. At first I was mad because the price of cheesecake is not displayed on the menu and it looked so good in the case I just had to order some. I was surprised when my bill came out to 20 bucks for 2 pieces of cheese cake and a 4 dollar espresso. The slices were $8 each but honestly worth every penny. Best cheesecake I've ever had!

Perfect lunchtime place. Everything is made by hand and to order, so it takes a little time. We enjoyed excellent Capachino and panini (oakie and Italian). A bald eagle was fishing from an overlooking tree. Couldn't get much better if it was a movie.

This cafe was so great that we came back twice in our three days in Seward! The mochas were excellent and very pretty. The broccoli cheddar soup was absolutely amazing. The paninis were also very good. The cafe is located in a really cute building with an amazing view.

Lots of good reviews and I can't understand why.

We had a Reuben sandwich, fries, and vegetable soup. The sandwich had only a thin layer of meat so essentially what we actually got was a cheese, sauerkraut and thousand island dressing sandwich. The other problems with it were it was not hot but barely warm and toasted dry using no butter. It probably sat a while before it was given to us.

Next, the vegetable soup. Again this was delivered barely warm, nowhere close to hot. It looked like it consisted of celery, onions, something orange that might have been carrots, something white that was either pasta or rice but could not identify and olive oil drizzled on top. The olive oil was poured on top...not just a drizzle. The oil layer was so thick we stuck a piece of bread into it and it was fully coated in oil. The cold soup turned out to be so gross we couldn't eat any of it.

The fries. They were very good. They were hot and tasted really good. BUT...there were not enough of them. Plus they were not included therefore you had to pay a couple of bucks for what amounted to half a medium potato. Oh, the pickle was free but we were given only half a pickle.

With a tip it cost about 25 bucks. Very, very cheap on everything as they charge a lot for what you really get. We felt cheated and the food was far below standards.

THE best cheesecake in the entire galaxy. Judy is the kindest person, and the entire staff has been so dear to us. Never had a bad meal here. It’s become our go-to spot while working around the Seward area.

Since reopening for the 2021 season, Zudy's sandwiches and Paninis have blown me away! So much flavor! Great atmosphere, unlimited views and delicious mimosas, what more could you ask for?

Best food in Alaska! If your looking to taste the perfect sandwich, start your day with a delicious coffee and the best view in town, or need to satisfy a sweet tooth - look no further. Zudy's is the culinary experience you've been yearning for! Make sure you try a blackberry salted caramel brownie or a fresh slice of a variety of cheesecakes. Zudy is a world class baker and chef - you can't go to Seward without stopping at Zudy's!

Great sandwich place in town. They do take away orders too if busy.
