Grumpy's Delicatessen

Great family atmosphere, tried the bubbas melt, Cajun czr salad, and tropical smoothie. Everything was great, 10/10! It felt great supporting a local family business. Will be back if I’m ever in Juneau.

Grumpy's is amazing. Get the Andy's Pastrami with horseradish and pickles. Also, their juices & smoothies are the best in town. Great location, quick service, friendly people, wonderful food -- what's not to love?

Terrific no-frills sandwiches and soups. Some good healthy options too. Recommend the reuben or a smoothie. This place has been around for eons and it's very local and very good. PS Grumpy's recently moved to the Senate building, 175 S Franklin, though not all maps reflect that yet.

My first experience was awesome, while the had an actual cook but every experience since then was absolutely terrible!!! This lady was even a substitute dive coach and when I called to inform them the made the worst club sandwich I've ever had, including leading out half the sandwich she only got defensive and hung up instead of making it right.
The best thing I got out of a 25+ dollar meal was a free bucket which I had to return with the disgusting sandwich Grumpys made for me.
I will never ever in my life eat there again

My husband and I decided to get some smoothies from the juice bar, and we're definitely not impressed! I got the PB&J smoothie and it was extremely salty. My husband got the green smoothie and it was more of a juice. For the price you pay its definitely not worth it.

Great place to grab a quick bite and is very tasty! The help extremely friendly and made me feel right at home. The atmosphere is great and the best Ruben I have ever laid my lips on!

Great sandwiches and smoothies! Also had the clam chowder, awesome as well! Will definitely eat here again!

First timer...Chicken rice soup on point. Corned beef top 3 of my life...beet juice OMG! Off the beaten path but worth the trek! I went from Hungry to Grumpys! I highly recommend this little hidden gem!

The atmosphere is great , but there are a few things that need to be worked on .
1. The Dog in the restaraunt ( not a service dog ) eating from the owners hand .
2. The child that was running all over the place , walked up to our table put the bag he / she had ben playing with on the table and just stood there , poured salt and pepper all over the table behind us , played with the salad dressing Togo containers and then put them back on the stack , put hands in the ice for the salad bar . The child was basically unsupervised .
3 . And the Most important, ordered a Heart Attack sandwich ... First one was burnt , seconded one was missing the cheese . The person who cooked it brought the second one out and said "here ya go I hope this one makes you happy " and then proceeds to tell us that there was cheese on it but it had melted when she put it on the grill . I wish I had tough to take pictures , because there was NO cheese on that sandwich .
I have been here before and it was great , so one bad experience will not keep me from giving it another try .
Customer service and care definitely needs work !
