Such a cute, unique little find. The service was so personable and friendly. My friend absolutely fell in love with the gluten free muffins. The Breve was one of the best I have had. Hope to return soon.
Stopped by after a rafting adventure for a bite — my family owned a bagel shop on the east coast my whole childhood, and I can say for sure I got the best bagel I’ve had in Alaska here. Top tier. Couldn’t recommend more!!
Cozy and cute looking spot. Almost feels homey. First thing that caught my eye was the strawberry banana smoothie. I absolutely love strawberry banban. WAIT A SEC, its got orange juice in it? Huh? I’ll try anything once and BOOM.
This was the most deliciously unexpected smoothie ive ever been blessed with. The orange juice heightened it to a level I previously never imagined would exist.
I came back to Hope 4 days later and im anxiously waiting for the weekend to re-experience 🤤
Coffee was great the sandwich was awesome and I bought a couple of baked goods Tess the girl working at the counter apparently is there a new baker. I purchased a cranberry bog bar she makes from scratch, it was delicious!!! Prices were also reasonable! I have lived in Alaska for 40 years plus I’ve never been to Hope, I am so glad I went there it’s a neat little town and not that far from Anchorage worth the drive, beautiful scenery and Super friendly locals. I will return!!!
We’ve loved Turnagain Kayak since they opened, but the food and coffee this year are beyond wonderful. Freshly baked warm blueberry muffins, moist and still warm from the oven with plump and plentiful berries are a new favorite. And their coffee is amazing! Plus they’re super-nice folks in Hope, AK. What could be better?!?!
On new year's eve, the water pump in my car gave out as I was headed back to Homer from Anchorage and I found myself at the mercy of a very empty, quiet and COLD little town we all know as Hope. Though I had been there before in the summer and loved the warmth of this place and its people, I never expected the hospitality at such a wonderfully random time from the owner and operator of Turnagain Kayak, Coffee House and Cabins. She offered me the use of her restroom asked me if I needed to warm up for a bit inside, filled up jugs of water (which she gave me) for my car and even offered to let me stay in one of the cabins. Stubborn as I am, I got back on the road and thankfully made it to Whittier where I rang in the new year with old friends. I will never forget her and her husband's kindness! I'll be sending lots of business their way when people ask me where to stay in Hope!
I took a multi-day training trip with Turnagain Kayak. We went down to Resurrection Bay, near Seward Alaska - seals, sea otters, sea lions, and orca whales thrive in this pristine environment. We had a great time and learned so much.
Levi is an excellent leader and trainer. He knows how to make learning fun.
One of the best parts of the trip was surfing kayaks off the beach near Bear Glacier. As we were playing on the waves, huge chunks of ice were flowing out the river. Spectacular!

Went for breakfast and coffee. The blueberry muffins were fresh baked and the ham, egg and cheese croissant was excellent! Thank you
