Sarah J's Espresso Shoppe

I thought I'd be doomed to Folgers in Haines, but Sarah J's delivered on tasty coffee. I had a breakfast croissant and it was pretty tasty. Heads up, there's only outside seating and in the morning it's all wet. Overall it's a darn good breakfast and coffee spot.

THE STAFF ARE THIEVES! Watch the tip area on your credit card receipt if you choose to visit this bakery. On 6/26, I paid $28.48 for two sad sandwiches and one coffee(!) and did not leave a tip because this is not a service establishment. You order at the window, pick up from a window, etc. I got an electronic receipt saying the staff forged themselves a 15% tip. This is THEFT. Shame on them for being thieves and shame on them for so poorly representing a beautiful place such as Haines, Alaska.

Best mocha I’ve ever had. Considering moving to Haines from Juneau just for the mocha. So glad I got snowed in here so I can get another tomorrow morning! :)

These folks are awesome. Even when I came by one cold rainy Sunday when they were closed, but inside working on the place, they opened up and fixed me a latte and snack, and said to drop back by during the week when they're open if I wanted to pay for it. Just fantastic.

Absolutely amazing little cafe! We had the lunch specials (curried soup and some sort of turkey sandwich), and they were do die for. So good!

This shop sure has changed a lot. But they still offer great coffee and soft serve ice cream. There's a drivethru side and a walk-in side.

Soooooo good, the coffee and the bagels were awesome. Plus they had giant sized connect four outside!

This is a must stop in Haines. Food and coffee is great and having it out on the picnic benches the views are amazing. Get ready for the bird show!

Great food, but seriously long wait times. Like go for a wander while they're preparing your food
