🤯😳😛🥰 So many emotions about this! I loved the beignets! I ordered 3 and an iced beignet latte. Started of my morning perfectly.

Delicious treats in a comfortable atmosphere. We’ll be back again soon.

I’ve now been twice and enjoyed my visit each time. My son and I went yesterday afternoon to celebrate a successful dentist visit for him. I’m really glad to be able to get great beignets in Tuscaloosa!
The beignets are amazing. Hot and fluffy in powdered sugar. Great with and without a dipping sauce. Over the summer I had a great raspberry sauce and yesterday I had an apple pie sauce. We also got a hot cocoa and a hot apple cider yesterday. Cider was good but the hot cocoa was great!
Word of advice: don’t wear dark clothes to eat beignets.
My only issue would be to have napkins more readily available. Napkin caddies on the tables would be nice. Also, plastic utensils to make sharing the sauces and to scoop powdered sugar onto the beignets. Minor complaints and definitely not a deal breaker.

It was our first visit there but not the last! The staff on Sunday, November 6th were charming, helpful and made us remember what customer service was like a lifetime ago - magnificent! The coffee was hot and fresh, my wife’s frozen coffee espresso thingie - well, she flipped over that. And the beignets were mouthwatering (and they didn’t skimp on the powdered sugar!). It’s quaint, charming and even have pet treats outside on their patio. By the way - I’m 70 and she’s 61 and we were as happy as teenagers. Highly recommend!

You can certainly tell they take the time to ensure the beignets are ALWAYS made from fresh dough and fried to order (the only way to enjoy a proper beignet)! Great coffee too - I personally opt for less sweet options as a pairing like their flavored cold brew or an espresso/americano. Delightful café.

I had a simple order of beignets and a coffee with chicory. The beignets were the best I've had outside of New Orleans. I prefer them a teensy bit lighter in texture, but they were still awesome. The coffee was reeeeaaaaally good too. It took them longer than I expected to make a single cup of coffee, but it was worth the wait. The only things I would change are 1. I would have liked actual half and half for my coffee instead of the little cups, and 2. I think there should be a water station with the coffee fixings. I usually grab a cup of water with my coffee if it's later in the day.

The beignets were okay at best and it took twice as long to get my coffee out to me. The staff seems to be very untrained or unsupervised considering they forgot to add powder sugar to the order of beignets ahead of me.
Edit: To be clear the people who had no powdered sugar made sure I checked because they didn’t want me to leave with out any like they almost did

Our visit yesterday went very poorly. We were charged for a frozen frappe that we did not order. When we brought this up to the cashier, she said that the charge would be reversed. However, she didn't ask us for credit card to reverse the charge. This was just "lip service" to make us go away. The frozen frappe was given away to someone else in the restaurant. Frankly, we don't expect that anything would be done to correct the mistake! It's not the money, it's the way it was poorly handled.
Another thing we want to point out is the misleading prices in the menu board. Whatever the price posted on the board, add $0.25 on top. For example, the syrup was $0.99, the bill rang up $1.24, the iced coffee was $4.99, the invoice showed $5.24. We were charged $0.75 to have a splash of milk added to the iced coffee +chicory. All this nickle + dime left a very bad impression on the whole establishment. We understand the inflation situation... but need to be transparent and show the correct price on the menu.
We were excited to have another breakfast option in Tuscaloosa. However we probably will not come back anytime soon, if ever.

Beignets and iced cafe au lait coffee tasted great! I wish there was more variety on the menu, but understand their niche.
I didn’t give 5 stars because the person seemingly in charge was pretty rude to other employees, in front of customers. It was right when they opened at 8, so I understand there was probably a lot to be done, but it made for a tense atmosphere as a customer. And as a business operator that’s something I would want to be made aware of. Other staff were great and friendly!

I enjoyed my breakfast beignets here. they are square, puffed full of air, as they should be, crusty and hot. I had a chicory coffee along with it. It’s a nice change of pace breakfast. Not out of this world, but very good. I highly suggest that they buy a few teabags for tea lovers. it would be a big plus for tea lovers, and it’s not difficult for them to keep a few fancy teabags around. The outdoor area could be improved by some flowers, and by turning the music down a little bit. enjoyed my visit to this establishment. Some kind of black and green teas would be great - something like Tazo. Have not tried the Piper & Leaf.
