Wings (whole wings) perfect, fried green tomatoes and fried okra spiced up and sliced up and the Must Have to complete the meal is the Lemonade! Be ready to slap somebody and they have Oxtails!! -
5* based on food and people. Inside seating very limited, but they do have a large screened in patio with a large portable heater. My first, but not my last visit. Tried a basic pulled pork sandwich with their BBQ sauce and vinegar based coleslaw....after all if the basics aren't right, what would be? But it was excellent- ample pork, cooked to perfection, sauce with the right amount of sugar and spice and everything nice, and the slaw! OMG- I hit the jackpot. I visited with Nathan -he and his wife Emma own the place, and got the backstory on this Louisiana native, pushed north after Katrina. Between the two of them, proud parents of 7 outstanding kids, they stayed true to what they knew- Good Home Style Cooking. Their menu covers all the bases- breakfasts, lunches, dinner, daily specials, home baked cakes and pies. They have a fun kid's menu too. They do a lot of to-go meals. They love what they do and it seems they go the extra mile for their customers. While I was there three different people came in for their to go order. Nathan knew everything about them.... chatted with them as he was packing things up....they were laughing and it felt like one big family. That is the secret ingredient missing in most places, but E&N definitely felt like down home to me. I bet summer time at E&N is awesome, sitting outside, smelling the meat smoking, or the ribs on the grill. It s located in historic Triana, across from a pre-Civil War cemetery. Triana was once a busy port where cotton and other again products were shipped down river (Tennessee River) before the railroad cane through.
This was like finding treasure and so close to home. The vibe was great, customer service wonderful and the owner was so pleasant. The food not only looks good but tastes delicious. I will definitely be a repeating customer.
Before I walked into this place the smell of great food hit my nose.... And then the door opened and I fell in love... The owner is super friendly, an man he can cook ....such a positive vibe... Overall great place to eat 👍
The food is awesome but 9 times out of 10 I have to drive to the restaurant to place the order because no one EVER answers the phone. It's annoying and if the food wasn't so good, I wouldn't bother going...
The Mac Cheese is so delish, Steamed Cabbage omg so wonderful, Chicken strips 😋 with teriyaki sauce, they make from scratch. I haven't had a bad meal from there yet. ❤👋👋😉

Super nice folks that cook a heck of a good home-cooked meal. This may be my regular place for dinner while I’m here.
