Really neat coffee with tons of options for coffee and breakfast.
Turbo coffee has a great atmosphere, with a lot of food and drink options. The staff was nice, and the service was fast. There are a ton of places to sit including small tables perfect for your laptop, a big table for a large group, and even a couch for some relaxed seating. The building it’s located in is also really interesting with a cool history.
I was familiar with Turbo Coffee back when I lived in Tuscaloosa. I wasn't a coffee drinker then but it was a popular spot among students. I was excited when I heard Turbo was coming to Huntsville -- having since become a coffee lover.
The Huntsville Turbo is located in the newly revamped Lincoln Mill. There's ample parking and everything looks clean and modern. The inside of the shop is, in my opinion, very pretty. It'd make a nice place to work or study, assuming the noise doesn't get out of control. I ordered to go so I can't really be sure about what the acoustics are like over time.
They do have a nice online ordering system. I didn't use it this time, but the option is there.
The service was okay. I sort of felt like I wasn't cool enough to be talking to the employees, but maybe that's me projecting my own insecurities, lol. Coffee and açaí bowl came out in a reasonable time.
I ordered an iced cocoa puff latte and a Samoa bowl. The bowl came with bananas, almond butter, chia honey, and cacao nibs. I didn't care for the texture of the cacao nibs and would ask for them to be removed if I visit again, but the other toppings were good. The açaí was a little icy but that improved as it slowly melted. I'd consider ordering another açaí bowl, but I hear good things about the rest of the menu and would probably try a sandwich or something else first.
As for the latte...I really didn't like it. I'm not sure why - it sounded right up my alley based off the description. But it tasted really sour to me, and it was also just too bitter.
I'll accept that I'm very much a girly coffee drinker -- I like my flavored coffees and I don't like more purist coffee drinks. This gave pretty purist vibes. Nothing wrong with that; just means it isn't for me. That's okay.
One another thing to note: pretty expensive, imo. My acai bowl and 16oz came out to $23.08 after tip.
They have a large list of smoothies that also sound pretty good, so if I return it'll definitely be one of those with a sandwich or something. :)
First time in however it came highly recommended from my wife. Great little spots atmosphere was perfect with some great music on and it was not just a loud boisterous coffee shop where if you were intending to work, you wouldn't be able to get anything done. Highly recommended would love to see them expand on the food items some more however understand this is a newly established spot. Also very happy to see it located in the northern area of Huntsville down meridian Street which really gets you out of the hustle and bustle of being in town somewhere. Parking was great there is ample spaces to park, unlike downtown where you are fighting tooth and nail to basically park anywhere near where you want to go. Again, highly recommended and we sincerely enjoyed our visit!!!!!
Great little coffee joint that’s part of the Lincoln Mill redevelopment. Not crazy expensive and worth the drive a little out of your way to enjoy. Coffee is excellent and the vibe is mellow. Go check it out!
Location: clean, pretty, easy access, and easy parking Staff: friendly, kind, personable, and helpful. Quality: high, fresh, seasonal offerings
Selection: Since this is really the ONLY problem with Turbo coffee, I want to be more thorough. Every coffee spot worth its brew must have at LEAST one offering of light, medium, and dark roast. My family only drinks light roast, and their selection of light roast just recently went from one option (it was yummy), to ZERO options. They literally don't have any light roast coffee.
For the last few months we've been loyal customers, buying at least $50/month worth in beans for ourselves, not counting holiday and birthday gifts. Now we're going to have to look somewhere else.
Get some light roast beans and we'll come back! (Seriously please, we loved yall.)
Went for a Cars and Coffee event and tried out the latte. It was pretty damn good. Won't wait foe another C&C event to go back... It is truly delicious with friendly service and nice ambiance.
I'm giving a low rating due to a lack of basic costumer service. We were not greeted upon entry of the shop or acknowledged by the gentleman wearing glasses once we sat & checked out the menu. It was one other person in the shop so it wasn't busy. A female came from the back & took my order. I proceeded to set down & engage in small chat. Looked up and happened to see a drink on the counter did know if it was mine or not. I had to ask if that was my coffee . No thank you or nothing. It was one of the most base experiences I've had. A coffee shop should be warm & welcoming . The atmosphere was cold and stiff.
Fairly good drip coffee but this batch was a little sour. Avocado toast had good seasoning but the egg was rather slimy and over cooked. Solid atmosphere and places to sit.

Clean and well operated. Very new and not a lot of people have discovered it yet. Coffee is good, didn't try espresso
