Angel's Island Coffee

This was a while ago, but I feel I need to share this. I was meeting someone here for a first "date" of sorts. I proceeded to order my drink, and I was so nervous that I FORGOT MY WALLET. My date was sitting at a table, so luckily they weren't at the register with me and a couple of other people when I realized I had NO money. I was literally on the verge of tears because I was so embarrassed. (I have extreme social anxiety, so this was just a big deal to me at the time) and you guys, the lady behind the counter (I can't remember her name now because it's been a couple years but maybe it was Angel or another employee) without missing a beat she just says "oh..thats ok! don't worry about it, it's on the house!" I was surprised and I started to say "oh, no, that's ok..." but she just smiled and politely kind of insisted. Like it was no big deal. I then received my coffee, sat down with my date and we talked for 3 hours. As I mentioned, I have severe anxiety, so this situation was almost a nightmare (in my head) and embarrassing at the least, but they were so kind, honestly helping give me a great experience and a moment of kindness I'll never forget. I went back some days later when I could and paid for my coffee. At first she said "no, that's ok" but this time, I insisted. I really love this cute little place and recommend it to anyone who is visiting Huntsville and looking for a well made, fair priced cup of coffee (or smoothie!) as well as polite and genuinely nice people who will go out of their way to make sure you are happy! 100/10!!!

Very good drinks. The coffees/teas are above average, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The building isn't in the most convenient location, but it is directly off the service road. The only problem with this location is the wifi. The wifi drops almost constantly (at least when I was there). This makes it nearly impossible to work there for any extended amount of time. Would go again.

Pretty good coffee if you prefer to eschew the more popular Starbucks fare. Angel Style (extra sweet) is not sweet enough for me or it would be 5 stars.

The best cafe mocha I've ever had. My best friend and I have been coming here for years. It's a great place to just get some coffee and hang out. I like that they also sell local art!

I have been to this place 4 times total and 3 out of those 4 have been good. Tonight was horrible. My hot chocolate tasted like hot water and a few minutes later my stomach was aching. Not only did my hot chocolate taste horrible, but my boyfriends did as well. I’m not sure what happened but I had better hopes for tonight.

I've been here before and liked what I've gotten, but I came in today and ordered a sunkiss. The drink was fine but sometime started feeling off after I had it. 4 hours later and I know I have food poisoning and I'm not too thrilled.

I love this place. I go in and feel calm and relaxed. I've done some of my best writing here. I can safely say that I haven't felt the real "coffee shop" like you find in New York or Colorado anywhere in Alabama except at Angel Island.

Always great coffee and friendly staff! Nice to see folks enjoying each other's company or working on projects with the free wifi. A true Huntsville treasure!

Such a cute little coffee shop! The coffee/drink selections are great and they also have pastries and some lunch items.

love the staff. they're so sweet and they''ve never gotten my order wrong. the atmosphere of the place is very pleasant and calming. i strongly recommend the tradewinds drink if you need to cool off. my absolute fav
