The Electric

I was really looking forward to Electric since we live so close. The bartender was very nice, the cocktails were okay and the menu whilst keeping it simple there were very few options for variations. It was hot sandwiches and some salads available along with some sides. The chili was good, but besides that i feel there’s room for improvement where menu expansions can help. I will definitely give it a second chance since it’s just recently opened which is why i will try later on.

The Sandwiches:
The sandwiches are actually quite good. Ample cuts of meat, thick sliced cheese, fresh tomatoes, on high quality bread are all brought in together by excellent house sauces and condiments. The portion sizes are good, and considering a sandwich and chips from a chain can run $11, these are actually priced quite well. Plus having a bar in Bluff Park can't be beat.

The Cereal Bars:
I've had both types of cereal bars. Ultimately they are a rice krispey treat by another name, but they aren't as tender/gooey as others. They kind of come together as regular dry cereal loosely held together. I kind of wished they had some regular "big cookies" you often see at delis.

Atmosphere:
Everyone was very friendly, but it was fairly quiet. I was kind of thinking they needed a jukebox or something, but I was visiting during a weekday, so maybe they are going for a more relaxed vibe. I'm eager to try on a Friday/Saturday night, though.

Odds and Ends:
The menu could use a little bit more detail, as neither myself nor the hostess knew which sandwiches were toasted/grilled/warm (I think the answer is all?). The kids menu has two sandwiches (I think) followed by a salad, but all three are just listed ingredients. I assumed the first two were sandwiches, but I couldn't figure out who eats a lettuce and ranch sandwich, so I added some meat only to realize it was a salad.

We ordered the buffalo hummus as an appetizer; that was fantastic. I had the boardman and a buddy had the bandit. Mine was like a boujee Arby's beef and cheddar, but even better! My buddy said his sandwich was excellent as well. I also had the soup of the day which was a lentil with Conecuh sausage. That was superb.

My husband and I had a great little dinner here! I was surprised that they didn’t have normal bar food, but the quarto cheese flatbread was amazing! 😍 It was like nothing I’ve ever had before. We will definitely be going there again!

My husband and I have been wanting to try this restaurant for a while now. Tonight, we decided to grab some takeout and we thoroughly enjoyed it!! It is a great addition to Bluff Park and we are looking forward to going more often!

Not bad at all. I enjoyed the food. I had the TG sandwich and a bowl of chili. Chili was a bit sweet for my taste; but not bad. The sandwich was pretty dang good though. Really liked that. I didn’t love the canned drink experience, investing in a fountain system would be wise. Little quiet inside, I’d love to see some volume on the tvs or music. I liked the place, the price wasn’t bad for the volume of food. I’ll come back, I’d love to see the place at night.

Great food and food beverage selection. Wish they offered beer on tap.

We took our staff out for dinner here last night. Everyone at The Electric were so friendly and accommodating. I loved my sandwich. The decor is fun. Friendly, low-key hangout spot. I’ll be back!

The tomato soup and pastrami sandwich was great. We were there at lunch. The sandwiches are not the ordinary stuff. They all have a twist. The music was a little loud, but I am old, not deaf.

An awesome, quiet spot, with incredibly tasty food and drinks with a friendly staff! The buffalo hummus is a must try! Amazing sandwiches and flatbreads as well!
