Basketcase Cafe' & Catering

Found this Cafe by accident while searching for the peanuts around town. Decided to have lunch while I was there. Food was very good and service was friendly. It looks big enough for parties, etc. I will say it was noisy and dark, definitely needs something for the decor. Sorry I found so late in my trip. If I ever come back to Dothan, I will come by for lunch again.

I ate here the other day with a business friend who suggested it. I couldn't help but remember the "hot dog man" who'd had a stroke and was forced to retire. He had purchased a modest cart and set up a half block down and across the street from these people. They went to the city to have this handicapped man removed and he was soon gone. Why, I don't know but it was in the Eagle. It's all I could think about as I sat looking out the window wondering why I was there eating overpriced unseasoned finger-food. I much prefer the old man's hot dogs.

Awesome delicious food but the servers need to work harder to get dirty tables cleaned off as quickly as possible so customers don't have to stand around waiting for a table to get cleaned off which happened to me and my sister. Don't make customers sit at dirty tables and don't put the dirty dishes on another table. Just bring them to qthe back.

Have been eating here for about 20 years... The chicken salad and fruit plate will always be my favorite. Recently took my 9 year old twins for their first "big girl' lunch, they had the best time! Still the same after all these years!

I went there with a friend for lunch. It took over 15 minutes for a server to notice us, then it took about 40 minutes to get our food. When we finally got our food we had to ask for to go boxes to take our food to go since we were in our lunch break. When we got up to the register, the employee asked if it took too long for our food to arrive. I said yes and she rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed. Even though it took almost an hour to get our food she did not offer a discount or anything, just a bad attitude. The food was good, but not worth the wait or attitude. I probably will not be back anytime soon.

I am definitely a "regular" and I am never disappointed!

Recently used them as a caterer. Absolute worst experience with a vendor. We had booked them for a wedding and after paying the initial deposit they would not return calls or emails over a month. After finally finalizing the details for the event, the day came. The food was extremely bland; I've had better experiences with fast food. During the event, one of the staff serving food proceeded to call one the bridesmaids a derogatory term after she had asked for water! In summary, save your time, money, and sanity by avoiding this classless, incompetent caterer.

It was a church event but the food was good the cheesecake was the best only down side is we waited like 30 mins for our drinks

The food is always fantastic. Highly recommend the bacon burger and for a sweet tooth, get the muffin with cream.

Omg! First off, the food is awesome! I love The Curried Chicken Salad and The Brisket Sandwich!
The wait staff is quiet and ninja-like in effeciency.
Do not leave without a muffin w/ cream (Poppyseed)! Thank me later 😎
