Owner was stand offish food was cooked in 8 month old frier grease . Kinda got a ride reaction . Would have returned for dinner but with the unprofessionalism in this way the food was I refuse to ever eat there again . Sorry but I can't put it on other way.

“Do I pass through, or does here pass through me?” That question, scrawled on a wall of dollars, contains the quintessential character of the American West, as does this place. The burgers and fries were real, and so were the people. Don’t miss this stop.

Really friendly staff. Food cooked to order. Plentiful portions, perfect for hungry cyclists. Quirky decor and full of characters, so kind and welcoming.

Took a day trip here because we always drive by and never have time to stop. Service was excellent and food was amazing Their drink prices are super inexpensive. The owner Isabel and her niece were great hosts! All in all, a great afternoon! Please support places like these so Wyoming doesn't become a wasteland of chain restaurants! This place is also located in pretty much a ghost town, so photo oppurtunities after your meal abound.

My family stopped in on our way through town while traveling. It was truly like stepping back in time. The people (even the local town folks) were all very nice and accommodating. You can tell that they truly enjoy visitors stopping in. If you are uptight, this may not be the place for you. This is not an uptight joint. It’s super laid back but you’ll never feel more welcome at an establishment.

Great food and people who work there are as well. Only thing wrong is it is very dirty. Will stop by again hopefully this time it's cleaner

I stopped at the Split Rock Bar as a lunch stop on a bike trip, and they convinced me to come back for dinner and spend the night in the town.
The staff and local patrons were all incredibly friendly. It was awesome to have people to talk to after a long day of biking, and I actually had a couple of shots bought for me. The food was great as well—I had two different kinds of burgers, and both were delicious. I would highly recommend this place—don't just drive or bike past!

Dive in the middle of nowhere. Toilets looked like they weren't cleaned in a decade, and there's no door handle on the inside of the men's room. Stop for a beer, but don't eat there!

A great little place along the way. We stopped here for breakfast while on a 14 day trip in August 2017 riding through some of the western states. We had one of the best meals for breakfast anyone could ask for. The cook took very good care of us. Thanks for the conversation and service.
