Too expensive for very normal food and small portions. But there is nothing else around. 😞

Nice diner. Open face roast beef sandwich was huge, staff was helpful.

Unpretentious little cafe with wonderful food. We ate a Dinner there and then the next morning, had breakfast there. Both meals were well prepared, the wait staff was on point (you wanted for nothing - they were on top of it) and the atmosphere was a cross between tourist and townspeople - always a good sign. Not fancy but good food!

This little gem in Dubois never disappoints! There is definitely a reason why this place always has a line outside, the food is great, the service is excellent and you can't leave without having a slice of homemade pie! Anyone traveling through Dubois must stop by the Cowboy Cafe!

Best cooking I have had since vacation started. This hamburger steak with pepper jack and green chilies was FANTASTIC!!

Delicious burgers in a small town (971 residents). Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Very popular, every seat taken. Looking forward to trying the pie that I got “to go”.

I would eat here every day if I lived in Dubois. The breakfast was insanely amazing. I got an omelet and my wife got the chicken fried steak. The portions were great and the homemade biscuits were delicious. The best part though is the pie. The slices were HUGE and so fu*king good. Whether it's 8am or 8pm, eat here and get a slice of pie.

They open at the early hours witch is super good thing because I’m early bird. The food was amazing i cant complain about it. The steak was cooked to perfection and the omelet was superb but oh boy they really need to pay more attention on cooking the hash brown, on on side it was overcooked and on the other side it was raw. But beside that it was really good. By the way the peach sangria was also amazing despite trying it in early hours of the day 😂

Gosh, what a great place. Stopped for dinner and enjoyed the Chicken Fried Steak. Tender, beautifully fried, with skin-on home-style mashed potatoes. Excellent gravy. So good that we came back for breakfast the next day. Staff move fast (it's a very popular place) and still provide top-notch, friendly service. Worth going out of your way for this gem.
