R.E.L.A.X! It's a bakery! Fantastic danish and cinnamon roll. There are Catholic trinkets for those who want to celebrate their faith. Better to buy them from a small business than on-line. The "child labor" are family. Felt comfortable and welcomed after a morning of watching eagles. Will definitely return...

If you are considering stopping in and have not done so then I urge you to quit waiting!! Great family owned little establishment. We are out of towners and so glad we stopped in. Had a slice of strawberry rhubarb pie with whipped cream and a hot chai latte and my husband had a piece of peanut butter fudge brownie with a coffee. We cannot rave enough how scrumptious everything was! I am very picky too! Each family member that we encountered from all ages are just genuinely sweet and knew their products well. We purchased baked goods to go and are very excited to try them! We will be driving a couple hours just to come back for more items in the future not to mention pre-order a strawberry rhubarb pie to share with our family among other things! We truly found the best baked goods (they sell lots of meats and other items as well). Support The Mixing Bowl!

One of my favorite bakeries to go to. Even though I make bread, my kids love THIS bread better ;) (and so do I, if I'm honest!)
Prices for groceries, especially for high quality meat, are better here than anywhere else. You can't even buy 'eh' quality meat in stores for the prices you pay at The Mixing Bowl! I do all my meat shopping here (we are a family of 6, and not rich.)
Best coffee with ALL the flavors of syrup.
The danishes are DEEEEEELICIOUS!
EVERYONE in my family agrees the best muffins are the chocolate chip ones- but the wild berry and blueberry were a close second.
I always go around mealtime to justify getting a slice of quiche - Chashcon, spinach anything, and Lorraine are my faves.
But the BEST part is I can get Catholic items immediately and locally for our family, friends, etc. I love being able to get specific items I want locally and quickly. 10/10 recommend!!! I'll definitely be back!

Terrible Customer Service & inferior product - do NOT go there! Went in to ask about some product I bought that 75% dough, 25% filling & was told, “That’s the way it goes!”. I then asked a less bakery item and was “ Nope! Go right down the line!” There are much better bakeries with fine customer service nearby! Also, their cookies are terrible and super expensive for the size! I had five friends that I was treating and none of us will go there again! Went elsewhere - had excellent baked goods & superior service! The opposite of The Mixing Bowl! Don’t go!

We are from Waunakee. When we travel North on Hwy 12, our vehicle is trained to turn right onto Business Hwy 12 once we cross the Wisconsin river. The car will automatically stop at the Mixing Bowl. We are then force to go in and indulge ourselves with the Mixing Bowl delicious pastries, cookies, and breads. Of course we have to buy the great coffee they sale to compliment the bakery foods we have boughten. If that wasn't enough we are delighted to interact with the family that owns the business. When we say family we mean family. This includes mom and dad, and the young children that assist their parents. The opportunity to experience a family operated business is the icing on the cake. The Mixing Bowl is well worth the trip north to Sauk City.

Love this place besides the culty feeling with all the "sinner" literature haha. They make the best pastries, super good coffee, and they sell basically anything you could want. The owners are always polite too.

Me and my family walked in here expecting coffee and a dounut but we were immediately greeted by many pictures of Jesus and religious art peices. There were kids there that obviously had never seen the light outside of a Catholic Church and were wearing plaid shirts, suspenders and had buzz cuts. The cashier was a teenager wearing a shirt that supported priests who have molested children “cancelled preists” and I got an orange soda that had an aftertaste of baby aspren. The walls were lined with crosses and this really gave me an authentic catholic experience would not recommend. The children just stared at us the shining style. They were having the time of their lives reading how liberalism is a sin. It’s like they were smiling so much they weren’t even smiling. Cult like Experience. Would not visit

Picking up my groceries here regularly for high quality and delicious food. Their baked goods are incredible and the service is always very kind. I literally drive 30 minutes to get here whenever I want groceries because they're that good.
