Working near by, I decided to try True for lunch. Pick up. They had a few sandwiches. Typical sandwiches. I ordered the Turkey Club w/chips and a Berry smoothie. First, I guess I should have indicated.Mayo. It was bone dry. It went downhill from there. The Turkey was tasteless, the bacon was hardly there with a few “shavings” and one slice of one sad small little tomato. AND the crust on the sourdough bread was hard and thrown away. There wasn’t anything “delicious” about this $8.95 sandwich. The smoothie, however, was tasty. It garnered the 2nd star. My 1st time and my last time to True. Oh and not everyone wants a hard kettle chip. Thrown away.

Great coffee shop experience. Extremely friendly staff. Good breakfast and lunch.

I have been going to true since they opened and they have been at the top of my list for espresso and coffee. Trust me when I say it is a short list as few coffee shops meet my standards.
Hands down I have received the best, most consistent, service and product. ESPECIALLY if JACOB or DEVIN are working. I've never had less than stellar service from them which isn't true from every barista there. They are extremely personable and have great people skills.
Highly recommend.

Good local coffee shop, a bit out of the way. They have a nice patio area in the spring and summer too. Coffe is great, they roast their own so it's always fresh. Nice people too! Only complaint is that I always leave the place smelling like bacon or cooking from their kitchen.

This is an average coffee shop, serves a good latte. Just wouldn't go out of my way to visit.

Not a ton of food to order but the scones rock!

True is the best coffee in the Madison area. Their espresso blend is rich, warm, and full-bodied, and they have a great variety of beans and roasts in their drip coffees as well. True's baked goods are all locally sourced. The brownies and cookies are phenomenal; they're some of the best in town. They offer light breakfast and lunch food, and their menu is always fresh with rotating specials. My personal favorite special items are the veggie chorizo wrap, Italian soda, Agua Fresca. These are fairly unique offerings for a coffee shop in the Madison area, and well worth the time to try and broaden your horizons. The service is friendly and quick. Gibo is a top notch barista, and Ben is a master at devising new, interesting, and delicious menu items that will keep you coming back. If you're a home barista, you can also get their excellent coffees and espresso blend in bulk, giving you an outstanding foundation for you to make your own drink creations. I highly recommend True Coffee Roasters. But fair warning: it will become your new favorite place.

Excellent local roaster for whole beans, ground coffee, in-house and take out coffee options. The cardamom sunrise pastry is divine.

Great spot for a quick cup of coffee. They also have a back area with a fireplace that's nice for meetings or getting some work done.
