True Coffee Roasters - Cafe

This cafe has become a routine staple for me. I love to go for a quick lunch and pick-up a turkey club and I also love that I can get it with greens on the side instead of chips. The greens are always fresh and delicious. The coffee is great and the staff is always so friendly!

One of the best coffee shops in Madison. True is a hidden gem. Their espresso is amazingly rich and full-bodied. Their breakfast wraps and sandwiches are super yummy, and the service is friendly and speedy!

Outstanding Ethiopian coffee (this ties with the quality of Stone Creek Coffee)!!! Friendly staff, great wifi... Very impressed.

Everything mentioned in the other reviews is correct; great coffee, good food offerings, and nice people.
Gets a couple stars off for the lowest tipping option being 22%, or no tip at all. What this is for I legitimately have no idea, they don't bring anything to your table and they don't wipe down surfaces between customers. They don't do many dishes because all the coffee and food I saw inside (10+ customers) was served in disposable containers. Is it for making the coffee, ie the service I already paid for?
Genuinely baffled by what's expected here, so I tipped nothing. Not a fan of tipping culture spreading to grab-and-go places now, I'd rather just not go at all.

I Love this place! I am very picky when it comes to my coffee. Having purchased their coffee / coffee beans for years now from a local coffee shop (Cool Beans) I was excited to hear that True Coffee Roasters were opening up a location here in Monona. The one thing I love that's different from most local coffee shops, is they have a great selection of fair trade and organic coffees to choose from, which most places don't have. They also carry other local products like locally made coffee mugs, locally made chocolates, tea sets, etc... Customer service is fantastic too.. I highly recommend you check this place out!

Stopped in here super early before work today. I love that this place opens at 6am! The two wonderful women working the coffee/register were very kind and we had a very pleasant interaction. You can really tell that these two individuals care about great customer service! They were attentive and even asked what kind of milk I wanted in my miel which is a big deal for me since I'm lactose intolerant. Also love that they have almond AND oat milk! Will be coming back here for sure.

In town for business 08/24/18 and stopped by this place True Coffee for a quick break around 1:30pm. The young man wearing a red shirt with a beard who processed my order has a very friendly, personable, and pleasant disposition. He also spoke with a genuine smile in his voice that made me feel very welcomed. Those qualities are the hallmarks of excellent customer service. The interior is very roomy and comfortable. This place is definitely recommend, and I will be coming again.

Great little coffee shop. Good coffee and the baristas are always friendly. Nice place to get some work done too.
