Food is great and a great price! The latte I had was definitely good, just not sublime.
Not at much cat decor as I expected from their description, but I'm not a huge cat fan anyways. Just here for the food and coffee. 🙂

The environment was so chill there, I wouls absolutely recommend to others looking for a great coffee house. I was a bit unsure of what to order, but the barista was super patient and helpful in my decision. I ended up ordering a carmel macchiato and a chicka chicka boom boom and it was incredible!!! I'll definitely be back!!

Nice local coffee shop. Nothing fancy but good coffee at a fair price. Got an ice French vanilla with an extra shot of espresso. My wife really liked it.

Java Cat is our favorite coffee shop in Madison hands down. The gelato is the best we've had in the states and they're constantly cycling in new flavours. The location is comfortable, fun, and funky. The baristas are friendly and helpful and the coffee is delicious.

Best breakfast croissant in Madison/Monona! They have a cozy space - if you're allergic to cats, don't worry. There aren't actually cats here. (But you could buy your kitty a catnip toy if you'd like.) I have four favorite food items: the egg/cheese/sausage croissant "Boom Boom style", the pulled pork sandwich, the boom boom wrap, and their salad with the strawberries and gorgonzola.

PRO TIP - if you're in a rush, call ahead to order and pick it up at their drive thru!

I've been coming here for years and it has reliably good service, I mean every single experience I've had has been positive. Coffee is good and they've got a good selection if pastries, snack food, and meal options.

I don't typically drink coffee, but I met the owner at a birthday party a month or two ago and have since visited and it's amazing - such good energy and love!! And delicious.

The last time I went there with a friend, the middle-aged woman behind the counter was rude to us and didn't give me all of my change back (short $10). When I called her on it she was mean and the owner? said she wasn't there to see what happened so she can't do anything!
NICE OTHERWISE, BUT WILL NEVER RETURN!!!

Gelato's great, coffee is good; ambiance varies from pleasantly quiet to noisy, and be sure to check their event calendar if you want to catch (or avoid) live musical performances.
