Java Cat Coffee House

Good coffee and bakery, espresso drinks are hit or miss, last time I got a cappuccino it was a cup of off tasting foam with some espresso at the bottom. They need a much better system for service. Maybe instead of everyone trying to do everything, one person should just man the register, so orders get paid for and served in order. Doesn't make sense to get my coffee and then have to wait to pay behind the person who ordered after me.

2019 update - changing it from 2 stars to 1, service has not improved at all.

Souper soup, fab staff, take your time to enjoy food, AND best made from scratch gelato anywhere.

I LOVED my visit to Java Cat! Great latte, baked goods, breakfast sandwiches, & oatmeal! Very friendly & excellent service! I only wish I lived in Madison so I could be a frequent customer. I WILL be back the next time I'm in town!!

Nice clean place, great coffee, reasonable prices. Excellent treats, friendly staff. Really what else do you want or expect. It's not a five star restaurant it's a nice neighbor coffee shop. I'll go back many times

This is the best coffee shop around. Huge coffee and specialty drink menu and excellent sandwich menu. What makes this place stand out is the staff. They are friendly and know their customers by name, and take the time to chat when they can. There is also a wonderful selection of gelato made fresh daily on site.

I love this coffee shop. Great breakfast sandwiches and great coffee too. Very friendly and pleasant staff. And a tip for the drive-thru - call your order in ahead of arrival and it will save time for you and others!

A neighborhood gem, Java Cat has any coffee drink you could imagine, a broad selection of teas, a range of breakfast and lunch options, a well stocked bakery case and delicious gelato. All this in a warm, inviting atmosphere with a friendly staff. Java Cat coffee has a loyal customer base for a reason.

I've rated Java Cat Coffee one star only for the reason that their beverages are delicious otherwise do not waste your money on their over priced burnt food, it is bland and tasteless; I bought a breakfast croissant with bacon and a breakfast wrap with bacon both I could have made better myself in my own kitchen and honestly wishing I wouldve used the money I spent on those and gone to the store and bought materials for both, for a quarter of the price.

They have a great variety of coffee and tea. They also have soup, salad, sandwiches and bakery items such as muffins, scones, cookies ect... Friendly staff and great atmosphere. They also have a drive thru for coffee, tea and food on the go. Would have given it 5 stars, but there were crumbs all over the floor, but I may have come just before they swept. Other than that, it was great.

I love supporting a female owned small business with a fun and funky vibe, great staff, and of course awesome coffee!!! What's better it's that Java Cat has a drive thru for those days when I'm in super busy mom mode and can't load and unload a cranky 4 year old just to grab a pastry and coffee. So helpful!!! Thank you!
