Java Cat Coffee House

Java Cat has been my go-to gelato spot for two years. After trying their Habenero Peanut butter gelato, I kept coming back. They have a great selection that constantly changes and they accept requests if you want your favorite flavor in a few days. The staff is very friendly, the service is quick, and their other food offerings are more than adequate.

Renew and her staff are friendly and courteous. Local artists play and display. Always doing something for the community. True East Side vibe. And the coffee, food, and gelato is awesome, too.

A quality coffee shop on the east side of Madison. Java Cat uses Just Coffee Co-op, a local coffee roaster known for their quality coffee. Java Cat offers the usual coffee drinks, both hot and iced, as well as breakfast and lunch items. They also serve baked goods and have their own gelato. It's a cool place to hang out and they have a drive-thru. However, if you're pressed for time, ordering inside may not be your best option. They can be a little slow at times, even when they're not busy.

Pretty rude employees. Really slow service. Coffee is meh. Overpriced for many things. The only thing I have enjoyed was one of their breakfast sandwiches. But that’s not worth any more trips back.

Java Cat, by far, outclasses many local coffee spots. They have a funky, original, mellow, laidback atmosphere with friendly, outgoing, meticulous, and lively staff. If you find yourself on Monona Dr, look up Java Cat!

Best caramel macchiato I’ve ever had and wonderful, nice baristas.

Great place for a great cup of coffee or other typical coffee shop beverage. Also, great food choices many great healthy choices! Please a nice friendly staff1

Excellent service, excellent coffee, excellent gelato. Employee went above and beyond when she rinsed out a dirty travel mug for us and refilled it. Highly recommended

Excellent staff and coffee. Local place that I really enjoy supporting regularly. Plus, the drive through window can be really helpful on those super cold WI days.

Nice atmosphere and staff, some good drinks, ok espresso. However, their regular coffee is weak, they're disorganized and their lattes are like 50% foam
