Need coffee fix? Fill it at EVP Coffee East. Outlandishly friendly staff and walkable location from Tenney Park. Space is ultra cozy, airy and feels like having tea at grandmas living room. Today's roasts were from Dark to Light... Campfire, Sumatran, African and Mexican blend decaf. Can't wait to return for some pastries. EVP Coffee East 20 oz coffee really crushes. Their Campfire was the best tasting, nutty more than floral and not burnt like other large chains

Driven past this coffee shop for years but today I decided to stop in. What an EXPERIENCE! Reminds me of a coffee shop we visited in Zanzibar. Had a café au lait with Guatemalan coffee. Wanted something different and it was so good. The barista was amazing. He was more than willing to explain to us the different coffee beans and their unique tastes. He also explained how they roast their beans in-house! Will definitely be back.

Hands down best coffee in the city. They roast their own beans and they really know what they're doing. Quality ingredients, and well made drinks. Some of the best espresso I've had outside of Europe, the barristas know what they're doing. Many of them have worked their for years (they keep employees, which says something). The granola is fantastic, and I LOVE the cherry almond scone. Comfy chairs, great ambiance, cool regulars. Its by far my favorite place to get coffee in the city.

Cheap, strong coffee, great environment.
4-4-23: Best beans in town. Paya little extra
for the lingering favor.
I even bought a birthday gift for a June
birthday.
Latte's delicious. All kinds if milks.
Thanks EVP. How many lications are there? Small is what you do best!

Glad I read the reviews and tried the spicy mocha. Absolutely delicious. Nice quiet cafe and a good place to get some work done

EVP is a great coffee place. This particular barista stirred the espresso- I don’t prefer. It’s a barista thing. Great Kombucha at this location- try the raspberry.

Tried to stop by today at 2pm & was greeted by the employee who began to tell me she wasn’t feeling well & closing early (usually open until 4). There were obviously other customers still sitting down but now I’m being sent to the west side to get what I need?

EVP is my go to coffee place. I treat myself once per week here and love it. The staff are nice, down to earth and know how to make a real drink.
This location can get busy, and the staff handles the lines with ease and the customers never seem to mind when there is a wait.
It's a homey little shop.

EVP has a great vibe, the service is always very quick, and it's overall everything you'd want and need out of a small coffee joint. The bathrooms are clean and you don't have to ask the employees for a key. There's a surprisingly large selection of pastries, which some go quickly, but there will usually always be something for you to satisfy you craving. The prices are also pretty cheap, relative to other coffee places. I've also always had an easy time ordering from whoever's working at the time, they've always been friendly and willing to chat, though I've never actually tried to strike up conversation, just seen it. Now the only downside to this place is that during peak hours, it may be a bit hard to find a seat, especially with an outlet, but they have outdoor seating which is a plus. For Madison coffee shops, this place is one of my favorites. Just remember that if you pay with card to verbally add a tip before they swipe/insert your card!

The best spicy mocha cappuccino in Madison. Really my favorite coffee and it is just slightly less expensive than all of the others but it's better. So I just keep coming back over and over again. The wait is not long and the atmosphere chill and cozy. I have had different Baristas and they are all wonderful and kind. A Madison local must.
