Food really good. Awesome waitress!

The atmosphere felt very uncomfortable, it was an older crowd and we I even had an older woman point at us and say "why do they get served first" and was glaring at us after we had been waiting for 50 minutes longer than them. I was so uncomfortable that we just left and I ate a few bites of okay ish food.

My wife and I drove to Fennimore today just to eat at Timothy’s Café. It was our second trip there since moving to Mineral Point about 18 months ago. Our first trip was this past summer when we stumbled upon the café returning from a trip to Wyalusing State Park. We returned to Timothy’s Café because we wanted to see if our eating experience there was as good as we remembered it.

It was – totally!

Today we had the special that included a sandwich, salad bar, soup, and dessert. The salad bar had a great selection of different offerings: EVERYTHING was fresh. We both had the hamburger mushroom soup which we’ll give a double thumbs up. We also both had the deep fried fish sandwich. We love a good Wisconsin fish fry and have had the great fortune to eat at number of excellent places around the state. Timothy’s Café’s deep fried fish sandwich actually rivals some of the best Friday fish fry servings we’ve had in the past at other highly touted places. The sandwich comes with three big pieces of deep fried haddock. We ended up taking half of the fish home along with our dessert – we were that full. The dessert, by the way, was a cream puff and bread pudding w/caramel sauce: Five star excellent. And you just can’t beat the price for their sandwich special – You just can’t.

We also want to give a shout out to the superb service from our waitress and the cook/owner – super friendly, personable and quick!

We have added Timothy’s Café to our personal short list of our Hall of Fame eating places which include Café 43 here in Mineral Point, the Hilltop Café in Fairbanks, Alaska (where we lived for 20 yrs) and the Coconut Grill in Hilo, Hawaii (where I am from). Why drive to Fennimore? For us we have one great reason: Timothy’s Café.

Food is excellent, chicken soup homemade and out of this world. Well worth going out of your way to to eat here . Must come with an empty stomach.

Timothy's is a simple cafe that serves food of amazing quality at a very reasonable price. We stopped for breakfast and chose this cafe because we generally enjoy small town unassuming cafe/diner restaurants, especially for breakfast. I had the breakfast melt, for $6, and was shocked at how delicious it was. Two pieces of perfectly toasted, buttered, and browned bread enclosed both ham and bacon, both cheddar and Swiss cheese slices, perfectly cooked eggs, and fried onions. My husband had the veggie omelette, which was full of mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and cheese and also cooked to perfection and came with two slices of perfect toast. The wait was a little longer than we expected, but it was worth it when we found that the reason for it was that they cook to perfection. Before we left, we saw that they were advertising for lunch any sandwich, with soup AND salad AND dessert for $7. We had seen the home baked cakes on the counter, and they looked gorgeous and scrumptious. Definitely worth a stop!

This is a great breakfast place!! Big helpings, awesome traditional breakfast menu with variety in the way of sweetness and heartiness. The waitstaff is fun and friendly, they take extra time to check on you and make sure everything is right. I will be back, you should go too!!

Down home cooking at its finest! The Timothy's Benedict is the best Eggs Benedict I have ever had. 1/2 order for a lighter appetite. Full order and you WILL skip lunch. Great place!

Timothy's is a treasure! Honest food, well prepared at reasonable prices. Service is marvelous. Customers are a nice mix of locals and out of towers. You will enjoy the experience.

Nice little small town cafe, the locals have their own coffee mugs behind the counter and the staff know just about everyone by name. I was told by the local hotel that they opened at 5am but when I pulled up at 5:30am it was clearly posted on the outside they opened at 6am. The lights were on, I could see someone inside and and the door open so I walked in. The friendly lady behind the counter said if I didn't mind watcher her step the table I was welcome to sit down and the kitchen would be ready for orders in about 10 minutes. The prices we great, the food was good and service staff were polite and friendly. I would eat here again if I was in the area.
