Balsam Lake Cafe

We've eaten here 4 or 5 times recently. I love their lunch specials, the last one we had came with tator tots which were fantastic. The lunch specials tend to be my favorite, large portions and great prices. Also try the BLT and the biscuits and gravy. We will be back soon. Enjoy!

This is not a review of the food but of the prices. Not one meal is under $10. These are simple food entries which one would expect half the posted price.

Our 1st time to Balsam Lake 2 weeks ago. We stopped in for breakfast. We were delighted by the cozy friendly atmosphere. Ordered the Caramel pecan homemade rolls. OMG..they were incredibly decadent. Pancakes big as a plate using homemade batter. We came back next day for more rolls. I had apple fritter French toast. It was divine! We are returning October 6th & can hardly wait to eat here.

We visited on 9/25/22 and it took a long time for the food to arrive. When it did, it was really overcooked. This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The service was so-so. Edited: We visited on 9/24/22.

Food is consistently tasty and friendly service. Love the frozen to go meals. Swedish meatballs and tater tot hotdish have been tried. Very good. Next beef stroganoff...

Finally found the time to eat here I had the balsam Benedict and it did not disappoint. They really know how to cook down there! What a way to start my birthday🎉

The restaurant is very cozy and has a great homey feel! The waitress was awesome! We will definitely be back!
