Yum! They have a variety of syrup flavors and great coffee! I have been in the fall latte mood, so I had a cardamon and ginger latte. I recommend this combination! My husband got an Americano and they pulled a great shot of espresso. We will certainly visit again.
Charming....quaint. I've known this was here for a couple of years, but today was my first visit. No significant signage outside, but as soon as I opened the door, the fabulous coffee smells confirmed I was in the right place. I got the pour over and the pleasant gal behind the counter picked it for me....she nailed it. Being a popular local spot, I ran into 2 people that I knew in my 15 minutes inside. Back out to my car parked in one of about 4 parking spots and on with my day.
This is a great place to grab a delicious coffee or specialty tea. Very nostalgic. It is located in the historic district of South Park. It is a great place to grab a beverage and take a stroll around the area. I would recommend it!
Dropped by here while visiting my spouse's old neighborhood! We loved the smaller size of the cafe and thought it's location was cozy. Their beans were roasted well and the drinks were well made. My spouse and I were pleased to find that they used Holy Kakow syrup which is a huge bonus in a sea of places that use Torani and Monin! We would absolutely come back here.
PS: please water the poor little succulent in the bathroom. She is suffering
If you’re looking for a quaint neighborhood vibe, Quantum Bean is the place to caffeinate! The baristas are kind, talented, and knowledgeable. Each season, Quantum has a thoughtfully curated specials menu which I look forward to trying! Cannot recommend them enough! South Park is lucky to have such a local gem.
I've been to this shop twice now. Both times it was such a wonderful experience. The coffee is delicious! I had the iced Orange Dream, and today I had two Campfires. Heaven does exist, in liquid form. It was very clean, the barista John, was super kind today, just as the others were the first time I went. The environment was so laid-back, with good tunes, and great conversation. Will definitely be back more.
I still tell people about this place even though I’ve moved out of the Morgantown area now. If you are passing through Morgantown, DEFINITELY stop here for coffee!
It's brave to embark on a new enterprise and not even feature a prominent sign out front. Even more courageous when your structure sits on an otherwise quiet residential neighborhood in a building that is probably no more than 30 feet wide, with a single storefront window peering out onto a none-too-busy street.
The fact that, even on Christmas Eve, Quantum Bean still cycles a regular array of customers should be proof enough of its magnetism. But this is the Era of Third Wave Coffee, and an erudite college town like Morgantown is bound to deliver with some right-of-the-bell curve java joints. Not only is the drip impressive, but the specialty drinks are good as well--smart, conservative use of turmeric in the latte I enjoyed, which is good sign, since many places fetishize their quirky or (in the case of turmeric) trendy ingredients, making something that is potable but hardly a beverage you'd seek to have again. Not the case at Quantum Beam. Best of all, amidst their tiny storefront is a variety of smartly branded merch and coffee preparing products. Seating is slight (no more than 10 spots) but plugs/wifi are easily available, suggesting the friendly proprietors still want lots of people to linger if they can. Pastries are a bit pricey but tasty. And they'll accommodate with your to-go cup as well, if that's to your liking.
More power to them. Though I believe they're fairly new to the Morgantown scene, Quantum Bean already seems to be achieving word-of-mouth acclaim to ensure it will keep people coming for the years ahead. Maybe they'll wrangle enough business to purchase an eye-catching outdoor sign. Or not. Doesn't seem like they need it!
I never write reviews, but this place deserves my taking the time to do so. I am such a picky coffee connoisseur, and always in search of really good coffee. I found it. My husband and I were visiting our son, who is interning at WVU this summer. Our son told us about this new coffee shop around the corner from his house, that he had not tried yet. The three of us walked the block and a half to check it out. My husband and I each ordered a pour-over of the Costa Rican Tarrazu. Wow, it truly exceeded my expectations. We were all impressed by the rich complexity and depth of flavor in this cup. I bought a bag in hopes of repeating the experience at home, and was not disappointed. This is my new coffee of choice. I will continue to order from Quantum Coffee online, as long as they maintain consistency with the quality I have enjoyed.

Always coming back here, the atmosphere is nice and it's super convenient to have the beans for sale alongside drinks. Having kombucha is great too!
