Great coffee and very fun, authentic atmosphere

Got a very nice latte here. Friendly service and fun decor. I hope the construction wraps up soon so it’s easier to access the parking lot.

Fantastic place. Great pour-over coffee. Knowledgeable and friendly owner. Quirky and cool atmosphere. Best coffee shop in Tacoma without a doubt.

I'm not much of a coffee drinker, personally. This place though, this is the only place that makes coffee I actually enjoy. Everyone who works there knows a lot about what they sell and can help you find exactly what you want, even if you don't really know what it is.

My daughter treated me to a coffee at this location. The barista was a dude he was pretty cool and had a lot of healthy products. I don't think I've ever had a more delicious coffee... Ever.

The baristas aren't quick, but they make the best latte in Tacoma. Having the gentlemen behind the counter educate me on how to make my home brew better has improved my every morning.

Great latte, AND they tolerate my crazy kiddos : ) it sounds silly but the hot chocolate was perfect temp so my kids didn’t burn they’re mouths and it’s those little things that count.

If you like good coffee and authentic people this is the place to go in Stadium.

This shack built atop a hair salon may seem unassuming, but for those in the know, Cosmonaut Coffee is as iconic a Tacoma institution as the dome or Galloping Gertie. This example of true Tacoma grit succeeds by doing what they do well, and without pretense. There isn't space in the shop for flash or frill (or air conditioning, as becomes apparent on sunny days). The artistry here isn't in the kitschy space race theme or punk vibe, but in the stunning quality on display. The word "craft" is overused to meaninglessness, but the drinks served here define it. They are practiced and precise. Like the shop itself, there is no pretense. Just a good cup of coffee. Long live Cosmonaut.
