I was excited to come in a try out a newer local business owned by a women I went to school with since I had heard rave reviews from local friends. The costumer service was, let's say rocky. I walked in to have one of the two young baristas almost ignore me since she was experimenting with a new syrup to make herself a drink. A short while later another barista came up and asked me what I wanted. I confirmed they had dairy free options and ordered. After getting my drink the barista handed me a carton of coconut milk which I shook up and poured in. It came out chunky and looked disgusting. I asked them about it, one of them tried the milk (out of a cup) and confirmed the milk was frozen. Although strange I said okay, thanked them, and left. As I was waiting for my coconut milk to melt I guess, my coffee settled to a nice layer of coffee grounds in the bottom of my cup. I consider myself a frugal person and I do not waste things however I don't enjoy chewing my coffee so sadly I had to toss it out. However on a positive note, while I was in the coffee shop a man passing through the town asked the baristas a good place to get some fresh oysters and they were incredibly helpful and friendly. I will come back, I just hope the baristas get a little more training, maybe around the different types of grounds and how fine you should grind for espresso compared to drip.

New owners, same great taste. This establishment does not discriminate on medical grounds, I go out of my way to support these types of businesses. If you don't feel safe you are free to stay home.

When we stopped in on a cold and drizzly day, it was a perfect time for coffee. The gal behind the counter was a ray of sunshine who made us just what we needed...Nice!

Elixer is the best place to have a delicious lunch and expresso in South Bend. They have a unique menu and a its the nest spot to view the bay. They also have great seafood that comes directly from Goose Point Oysters. I love meeting my friends here for lunch.

Great view, welcoming staff, delicious coffee and food! Loved the aesthetic of the Elixir...and they use beans from a Washington based coffee roaster!
