Nice place with plenty of seating. Pretty good coffee, but no wifi and had to use credit card.✌️

Gone downhill after new mgmt takeover. However, I like the new discretionary tipping system as opposed to the all-in exorbitant $8 coffee before where tip was previously wrapped into the price

Super friendly staff and good coffee. I've always had to wait in line but it moves pretty quickly. The prices are steep but I prefer it to the Starbucks next door. Good ambiance, a nice place to sit and people watch, either indoors or outdoors.

I really wanted to like this place... neat shop in a great neighborhood, nice staff, but the coffee (americano) wasn't very special and the pastries are very expensive and not very good.

Pretty good coffee but a lil watery for the iced Chai. 🧊 Great location if you're going to the Ballard market though!

Perfect cafe/coffee experience, would recommend the raspberry oat bar if available!

I really try to avoid Ballard coffee works when I can. It is always very expensive and usually not very good. I personally am not a big fan of their coffee or espresso choice (pretty acidic). The food and staff are great though!
While I appreciate that they pay their employees well and tip is included, $8 for a latte (oatmilk with a syrup, I know but still), or $4.50 for an Americano, that is only ok seems kind of ridiculous.
Cupcake Royale down the street is my favorite coffee in Downtown Ballard! (But opens at 10 am)

Great coffee. One of the go-to spots for a mocha. The environment is lovely. The staff are helpful and good to talk to. The interior is also quite well done.

I was a local regular until they stopped accepting cash. Haven't been back since. I don't see the advantage, personally. Cash is fast, simle and not dependent on computer systems. And a lot of people still prefer it. What will they do when their payment system gets fouled up? Barter? Places doing this think they are being cool. But they are alienating their customers and making themselves vulnerable to payment system bottlenecks and breakdowns, with no benefit in it that I can see. Dumb.
