Very inviting corner coffee bistro in Ballard. Fresh good tasting drip coffee w fast friendly customer service. Room for 12 inside under covid restrictions... But still very accessible... Come here and enjoy the early morning peace while it lasts...

Delicious coffee! Fast and friendly service and the blueberry Scones are super tasty. It was really busy but you can still find seating without much trouble. Way better than Starbucks!

Great location, very comfortable coffee shop in heart of ballard, unfortunately currently doesn't provide wifi access point. Weekday it wasn't so busy.

Solid place, decent coffee.

That being said, since being taken over by Victrola it's hard not to notice two things:
1) Complete staff turnover. I don't think anyone from the "old" BCW is still there.
2) Prices have gone up, but tipping has returned.

Under the old owners, BCW charged higher prices than other area coffee shops, but did not have tips, preferring instead to pay its workers a living wage. I'm not sure what the new owners are paying, but I observe that prices have gone up (from their previously elevated levels) and that tipping has returned.

Cold brew was really good and we ended up buying the coffee beans. Can’t wait to brew it.

Nice coffee shop and roaster.
They offer a LARGE collection of freshly roasted (and unroasted) coffee beans!

Great espresso. Offers a rotating single origin offer for espresso, which is served with a sparkling water chaser. Good quality beverages, with a lot of attention to grain selection. Good moka made with dark chocolate. The brew bars allows you to get coffee brewed from aeropress, chemex, vacuum pot and kalita methods. They also offer 2 beers and 1 cider. Dog friendly spot

Typical Seattle Indie place. Nothing spectacular about the coffee or the pastries. Prices are high … two small coffees and a raspberry bar … no capability to heat .. $13.00 skimpflation.

I hate that they don’t respect the closing hours. This is the second time where I’ve got my coffee and my late lunch and I started working in my stuff and all of a sudden just hear the announcement that they are closing 2 hours earlier, just because. I really hate that seattle is losing its coffee culture and this place is clearly contributing to it’s decadence.

Decaf is delicious and the people are nice and chill
