Illy Caffe

Great espresso! But their service is less than optimal. You work for the customer not the other way around. My daughter has a severe gluten allergy and the manager was less than helpful.

WHAT. A. MESS! This is a really bad excuse for an Italian (chain) cafe that survives by being one of the quickest and easiest options in a tourist trap town. The coffee was terrible. The croissant sandwiches that my wife had were soggy, falling apart, and really poorly prepared. Honestly, Starbucks is better than this by a long shot. Bathrooms were dirty and gross. The tables were sticky and dirty.
TLDR: go to Starbucks. The coffee and food will be at least as good if not better, and it won’t be a mess.

I Love illy and the ambiance it has. I discovered them while in Croatia. Thankful they’re here in Williamsburg.

Drove up from VA Beach to try and wasn't disappointed. The espresso was great (as Illy always is). The cafe was very nice and the guy that helped us was really friendly. Great spot and superior product. I hope to see more of these open up. They seem to be taking every precaution handling food and drink. Great experience.

I love this place! The croissants and savories that they offer are delicious and so are their cappuccinos and other beverages. They also have gelatos. Friendly service and pleasant atmosphere. Outside dining is available.

They have a selection of small breakfast/lunch items (think deli at Starbucks) as well as some desserts/gelato, coffee, and cocktails.

They have a posted limit on the length of time you are allowed to occupy tables (1 hour).

Service is usually very quick; however I have been there a number of times since it's opening and it's never been a pleasant experience.

There public restrooms for paying customers.

For those with walkers/wheelchairs/canes there are wider isles than in most spaces.

The outdoor seating area was lovely and the interior was very clean and well organized. I got one of their Ready To Drink mochaccino's and my partner got a beer from a local brewery. The ready to drink coffee was spectacular and I'm definitely going to place some online orders for some. Quite pricey, but a great experience overall.

I love ❤ Illy Caffe. My friend and I had a fabulous cold brew and I noticed that they also will make an espresso martini...be still my heart! I will definitely try one of those next time I visit the Illy Caffe!
