Pho 79

This is one of our favorite places. Great Pho and spring rolls. I love the skewers and vermicelli. Service is great. Katy is fantastic.

Update. last few visits have been much better quality and well worth the visit.

Quality has been really inconsistent lately. Prices have gone up but the past two times I have gone for pickup the broth has been really weak and not up to the quality standards I have come to expect from Pho 79

Used to love the Pho here from when it first opened. But now it is so oily I don't like it.

Surprisingly good pho in Virginia Beach. Tried the pork egg rolls, they were also delicious.

I've ordered from 79 dozens of times, have always had a great experience, and the pho was always good, tonight I brought home the same orders, and there was like almost no meat in any of them, something like 2/3 less than I'm used to, took the meat out and weighed it on a meat scale, was 1.6 oz in a large order, looked online and read that a typical medium order is 3 to 5 oz, a typical large is 6 to 8 oz. Called the place and spoke to the manager, he said the photo I sent him was correct. let me just say that you will leave hungry and still spend $20 a person.

Was very good food a bit slow but was worth the wait

The food was nasty and they discriminated against someone i know who was picking up food who is an immigrant and learning English, even though they are immigrants and can barely speak English.

This was our first trip to Pho 79 of Virginia Beach, but not our first time to a Pho 79. We frequently go to the Pho 79 in Williamsburg and love it. It's always our go to when we want to eat out. The Pho 79 of Virginia Beach did not disappoint! We also learned tonight that they are family to the Pho 79 in Williamsburg, which makes it all that much better that we can support family owned business.

Great Vietnamese cuisine and amazing customer service! Always fresh ingredients and great food, staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. Very clean and relaxing environment. Definitely worth going if you are in the area, or even if you want to make a trip just to go there. I know we will make the trip down again just for this restaurant!

My last review was a year ago and yes this is still my favorite place to get Pho in the VB area. Also they have some amazing wings and fried spring rolls. The staff are always friendly and while it is sometimes busy they try thier best to be attentive to every guest, but like most places the current labor shortage and the supply chain issues are affecting every one. So be nice to folks who are working and show support instead of being rude if your order takes longer than usual.

Do not order via beyondmenu! Placed order this evening to the wrong restaurant instead of the one down the road..went to the wrong one to collect (our fault). They advised we’d ordered from VB Blvd branch not Gen Booth. Set off for there instead, called on way to explain and spoke to someone who insisted our order had already been collected?! Then hung up on me. Called again, spoke to someone else who said they’d never received our order. No time to re-order as restaurant was closing.
