This is is a cozy but popular small business in The Plaines Virginia. The owners a friendly, as is the staff. To dine-in, you will need a reservation. We stopped in to by some of their specialty teas.

Very impressed with the choices of teas, sandwiches, sweet treats, scones, etc. You can mix and match to suit any appetite. Everything was delicious, and portions are generous. Ms Sally handled our large party with grace and humor. Will definitely be back!

Delicious food and lovely teas! I was surprised that the service was not very welcoming considering the wonderful reviews. The server was not pleasant and almost rude. My 6 year-old granddaughter, who was visiting me for the week, looked forward to our tea to end our week together. The main server was simply not pleasant but her helper was sweet. Everything seemed like a chore.

Ooooook, I get we don’t have an appointment but really? How do you expect customers to book with you if you treat them like they are interrupting your business when they walk in off the street? I get it’s winter but wow, it’s the same temperature inside as it is outside? Did someone forget to turn off the heat? Five or six empty tables and you want us to make an appointment? Funny thing is, we’ve sat in far superior British tea rooms in England. Seemed to me the lady wasn’t interested in serving us for an obvious illegal reason I’ll refrain from saying. Watch out.

A family member recommended the Tea Room to me a few months back, and I finally decided to try it out with my best friend this weekend. We made a reservation for Sunday afternoon and planned our entire day to lead up to this experience. We arrived a few minutes early (10-15 minutes) as a large party was finishing their event. We thought there was a separate section for the antiques that we could explore until our reservation time. When we entered the building, there was no waiting room or separate area to look at or purchase antiques. We stood there waiting for someone to acknowledge us, but the staff ignored us entirely until my friend flagged someone down after we'd been standing there for 5 minutes (it's an open space so it's not like they could pretend they didn't see us). We were greeted with, "What do you want?" When we told the woman we had a reservation, she looked at the clock on the wall, looked back at us, and said, "You're early. I can't seat you for another 10 minutes. You need to leave and come back." No pleasantries. No apologies for asking us to come back. Nothing. I felt so unwelcome, that I didn't even want to go back inside after we walked out. We decided that if they were willing to treat us that way as a first impression, they didn't deserve our business. I'm just so disappointed because as a tea enthusiast, I had been looking forward to this all weekend long. Hopefully this bad customer service was a fluke, but I can say that I will never be returning to the Tea Room or recommending them to anyone I know.

What a wonderful discovery via google and yelp!
My friends and I have high tea every year and this time we decided to switch it up a little try a new place. We were definitely not disappointed!
As soon as we were seated, they brought a tray of jars filled with different tea leaves. This is nice because it allowed us to see the tea leaves and smell it before selecting.
The prices were reasonable. I ordered the Traditional Afternoon Tea, which was $17.00 and included the following (copied from menu):
Assorted Tea Sandwiches w/ fresh veggie garnish; Scone with Devon cream,
jam & lemon curd; small tea or coffee.

Crest Hill has a lovely tea room where we did my friend's bridal tea. It easily fit the 12 of us and we tried many different teas without exhausting their menu. The food was extensive and we left quite full, especially of the sweets. But definitely start with the cucumber sandwiches--those were exceptional!

LOVELY! Recently had a girls' afternoon tea with adults and children. The staff is so accommodating and warm. The teas and goodies are delicious. I particularly enjoyed the chicken curry sandwiches and pineapple coconut cake.

Lovely atmosphere, The staff was wonderful, and the scone (with, of course, cream and lemon curd) was amazing. So was the tea. I absolutely loved going to tea here, and am planning to go back often.
They also have some lovely tea sets and such for sale.
