The fire place was excellent! People were extremely nice. Sorry to the owner about asking him if the table up front was saved for the poker game. LOL

It's an iconic Roanoke roadhouse and many famous bands have played here over the years. (Willie Nelson, Country Joe McDonald, Larry Raspberry and the Highsteppers, Richie Havens,, many more.) The photos on their walls tell an awesome story of the talent that has played there! However, in recent times, the drinks are weak, the place is rather empty, and we've arrived on a Friday night only to hear "we cancelled the band." I'd love to see it turn back around, and will revise this review when I see progress!

Went to see some friends that play in a band. Good atmosphere, friendly people. Bartender was great. The cheesy fries were delicious!

The genuine dive bar vibe with no real chance of actual dive bar consequences. There is nothing like a bar that is older than the trees in the neighborhood. I have visited for a few live performances and they handle the talent well, with a great stage and viewing space for what looks to be a small building from the outside.

I strongly recommend it.

The bartender ignored us for a while, not sure why, she wasn't busy and no apology when she finally got to us!! We let it go because we really just want to love this place!! We finally got our wine and beer and went into the other room where the band was and we felt much better about it here. So much fun, great music, fun patrons. Coming back

Ask for a "donation at the door" for a band that later never performed. Apparently miscommunication between staff and the musical crew!

Great lunch bar and and a fun place to hang oit's the hangout. They usually have good bands. They do allow smokingSo if that's a problem I wouldn't go here otherwise you're in for a good evening.

Food was good. The portions were good and the prices were very good.

Giving four spots to this local place with great service and friendly staff. They do have free karaoke and pool on Thursday night I believe. My husband and I got their meatball sub which we did not enjoy. It was extremely cold and the cheese was cold on the sub as well. We did not end up eating it.

We did enjoy the environment though, so we will be back here to support a local business for sure and the convenience of it being close to home is also a plus. They do allow you to smoke inside as well but no cigars.
